When you're already using the best (suse) and they break your favorite feature, who to you turn to? Mandrake?? I'm trying Debian Woody (stable) right now and it has some nice features, but the installer is behind the times.

And, if anyone knows how to use Apt or Dselect or ANYTHING to LIST WHAT FILES A PACKAGE CONTAINS, like the ' rpm -ql pkgname ', please email me!!

Wrestling shows sometimes go where they shouldn't. I made it a point to switch to WCW when the Undertaker was doing the faux-Satanic ritual crap, too.

I feel the same way about Witchblade.

Season One could not possibly have been any better - until the last episode, where they whip out the Stupid Time Travel Gimmick and WIPE OUT THE WHOLE FSCKING FIRST SEASON! :(

Season Two was anxiously awaited. Alas, it is crap. Sort-of-refined crap, but notnetheless not anywhere NEAR the first season's level of quality.

As a result, after five weeks or so of Season Two Wichblade, I reprogrammed my VCR and remarked to my friends, "It's a sad day when Monday night Wrestling is more interesting that the current season of Witchblade."

On a side note, I like what I've seen of Farscape, but haven't been able to watch it much. Maybe ~8 or 10 episodes. However, I'm sad to hear it's being cancelled.

  25. Re:Basic maintenance on New Problem Could Ground Space Shuttle Fleet · · Score: 1

It's all about the $$$ and $$$deadlines$$$. They don't have the first, and still have to make the second. If the military and NASA swapped budgets for one year, we'd probably have hotels on the Moon by now. The kind of equipment NASA is using has been in continuous use for decades because they lack the funding for alternatives. Plus, the equipment is so unique and complex that it's very hard to work on some of these parts. I'm not surprised that these kinds of problems are only being found now. (But as someone already pointed out, better now than after an accident.)

(Of course, swapping budgets means the national defense would go hungry and salary+pensions wouldn't be paid, the VA hospitals would be even worse then they are now, ad infinitum.) But it would be nice to see the space program get decent funding for a few years.
