Not in any PC I've ever purchased. Word is there and stays there. Ever heard of the Works Suite that comes with virtually every Dell or Gateway PC? It also includes Greetings, Streets, and some form of Encarta.
You've gotten Microsoft confused with McAffee, Anonymous zealot Coward.
But, hey, I could be missing something. What is it?
Accessibility. Because of my visual disability, I have to have light text on a dark background, meaning I need to override the specified colors on many web pages, which Konqueror doesn't let you do. Firefox does. Even IE does.
But, hey, I could be missing something. Where in Konqueror can I do this?
While you can use POP3 to retrieve mail from inboxes on other servers, I meant accessing a Yahoo account from an email client via POP3/SMTP. From the Yahoo Mail FAQ:
Mail users can read their Yahoo! Mail messages in Netscape, Eudora, or Outlook by subscribing to the Yahoo! Mail Plus service.
Running Debian would be the easiest way to get an alternative
I doubt anyone besides twitter would install a whole new operating system just for spreadsheet software. Personally, I'd go for OpenOffice, because if you're replacing Excel, you're probably putting Word in the outbox, too.
There IS hard evidence supporting the theory of evolution. We have the fossil record, microevolution, population genetics, plate tectonics, climatogeology, and, of course, general biology to pull it all together.
The only evidence we have that suggests the Adam and Eve story is literal is that it is written in a very old book.
Next up, Anonymous troglodyte Coward tells us that a summer full of heat waves is just random occurance and that there is no solid evidence that global warming exists.
And might I add that Big Bangs don't happen spontaneously. And that some engineer had to design all the laws of physics. And write out genetic code. And design the processes that create mutations and natural selection.
Remember that AC who would run around posting an FP calling for Zonk's resignation and suggesting that TripMaster Monkey replace him (here's a link if you don't)? I remember the phrase "the/. effect is to a DDoS attack as a Zonkism is to a crapflood". In the post's context, a Zonkism was any editorial mistake made by Zonk, such as the broken link on this story.
I like your definition better, but you should keep in mind the fact that someone already used it in case a stream of GNAA lawyers come pouring in claiming prior art.
I hardly think very many people around here have a rosy image of Bush. They're usually all "OMG Bush && M$ is teh 3vil!!11!1-e^(pi*i)11!!". I think you're being modded down for two reasons:
You're NYC personality puts people off. One common mistake that I've found among moderators is that they take flamebait to mean abrasive, while it is supposed to mean "trying to start a flamewar".
You have a community of stalkers. I wouldn't consider this option normally, but because of your journal, the top of your Fans list, that unexplained modbomb in November, and the fact that you're somewhat of a celebrity here, it is quite possible.
Actually, the root cause is human nature. No matter what protocol/OS/browser becomes popular or available, someone will try to break it. Windows is popular now, so it would be the logical choice for which to develop an attack. If Windows falls out of favor when Vista is released as you have many times predicted here, and Linux becomes more mainstream, you can be assured that our less civilized members of society will be looking for a way to crack it. The wise old verse still holds true: "Seek, and ye shall find."

Where? Even if that's too much for you, it comes with just about every new PC.
As the AC suggested: "Avoid hyperbole and unsubstantiated claims".
So, twitter, you've decided to post anonymously. Or are you WilliamSChips?
Or an AOL user.
Nah, couldn't be. No ponies.
Either that or the editors were listening and changed the link in his summary to the story linked in the blog.
Don't count on it.

You mean you don't NORMALLY code web pages by hand?!
And you hang out here at News for Nerds???
After all, Nix is Latin for "snow".

And from the Yahoo Mail Plus page:
That means you have to pay. :(
Gmail offers POP3 for free while Yahoo makes you subscribe to Yahoo Plus.
Also, Google Sketchup is pretty neat...

This God person must be a genius.

Unless, of course, they're disappearing because they know the Vogons will be along shortly.
Then I bet I know who you're voting for in the poll. :)
