The OS is still just on the hard drive. Where do you think 'Brick' came from? The piece of electronics is unrecoverable by anyone trying anything, so must have parts replaced. Make sure you understand that that includes people who know what they're doing.
Buying a new PC because the cost is about the same as repairing it for fools is an abomination of logic. That a fool has to buy a new PC because his old one is unrecoverable to him does not lead to the conclusion that the old one was bricked. He's just a fool.
If you didn't like the first half...the end was horrible. It was like the programmers slapped their dicks on the keyboards and voila, there's the ending.
Not a single class this semester even allows me to have a laptop open during class. I retain things better writing as well, I've noticed. But the classes are just so boring!
Can we please for all future articles involving the **AA, instead of saying "**AA does something stupid again," we say "Sony and friend do stupid things again?" Slashdot can do its part in ruining the big labels/studios by revealing the true culprits.
I regularly make movies. I am a part of the filming, sometimes the acting, often the editing processes. Being able to select the emotions we want to convey in a scene is a huge part of the film making. Dear sirs who think staying true to the original footage is a necessary part of film making, please stop pushing your ideas on the rest of us.
It's an over-reaction because no one stopped to ask the question what the hell is it. A large portion of the younger generation in Boston is bound to know what they're looking at and perfectly able to say its not a frickin bomb.
It's an overreaction not because it turned out to be a false alarm, but because so many of us who look at it know exactly what we're looking at-a funny lite bright.
The hating starts when you realize you're paying for poor quality products. Their business practices prevent the good products from reaching the market and the good developers from having the cash to make good products. Microsoft abuses status to sell poor products, that's why people hate them.
I think you should add that you feel the same way as whatever you read. Otherwise your logic stinks.
Slashdot hates Microsoft. I read Slashdot. I believe everything I read. Therefore, I hate Microsoft because I read Slashdot.
Windows firewall is the first thing i check for when i do a fresh install. I have *never* gotten a virus and i don't use any of the other products out on the market. So yea, some of us do. And we get better performance because of it.
And then we kicked a rock and realized that no, this is not an illusion. Nothing is ever disproven, but that theory is so old as to be irrelevant for any purpose.
I played FF11 for a while. People still play other games. Only maybe 5% of an MMO's playerbase plays so hardcore that they dont do anything else. The rest of everyone gets tired of it at some point and does other stuff, be it real life activites or playing other games. Hell, half the time friends of mine would play other games while waiting for stuff to happen (yea, mmo's can be that boring). I suppose MMOs have an effect, but not such a drastic one as to preclude future purchases of all, or even most subscribers.

+1 panties.
Are you not telling us what you imagine the above poster is saying? Hmmm...
Why do they still call it the Federal government? I don't read an article and forget if it's totalitarian or democratic...
Everyone from slashdot already pirates everything. You're years behind in your challenge.
FFXICyclopedia and wikia, of course. http://www.bluegartrls.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23599&start=0

TFA says turn 3 meter spots into no parking zone.
If you can't park there at all, that does reduce downtown parking, right?

It did make it onto slashdot today so...yea isn't that obvious?

Let him go into wii's super smash bro's brawl! That might help royalties, but probably not save him entirely.
Nothing more satisfying? Really?

well ordered is a matter of opinion. let's not base theories of creation off of slippery ones like that ;)
Check the exchange rate for pounds. What he was offered amounts to $38,923,202.36. Seems like a nice paycheck to me.
We don't call the 60s kids the sex without condoms generation! I resent the ipod designation.
