    ACT. They got 1.85% of the vote at the recent General election, just 0.5% more that Aoetearoa Legalise Cannabis party.

    Yu can get free* education in my country if you are an Australian or New Zealander Not so much the other way around but at least we are not sent to Manus Island yet.

    * First 3 years free from 2018 at university.

    Yes, regularly, and commuter train as well. With light rail coming soon-ish.

    Nice double decker buses and comfortable train carriages for all, however this is subsidised (50%) by local government property rates i.e. taxes.
    And with better vehicles, dedicated bus lanes, quicker train schedules more and more people are using public transport.

    Then again long term investment in such infrastructure is probably anathema to many readers here and I am just another dirty, filthy pinko thinking that cheap urban transport is a social good.

    Not everyone gets a free car park where they work or can afford to run a car.

    Germany (10th) is not as corrupt as your country (USA? 18th) so why does it always have to be about someone being paid off?

    If they do not want to use Linux after giving it 15 years it does not automatically mean bribery.

    According to Transparency international's Corruption Perception Index, India is fairly corrupt.
    It is at 79th place with a score of 40 (equal with China). By comparison US is 18th - score 74 (just ahead of Ireland).

    The least corrupt are New Zealand & Denmark with a score of 90.
    Most corrupt is North Korea at 176th and a score of 8.

    USA has dropped to 21st on the Democracy index.
    It is a flawed democracy equal with Italy, ahead of France and just behind Japan.

    A turnout of ~ 60% is to be ashamed off, not celebrated.

    Your political system is deeply flawed and corrupt.
    Change it and stop whinging, other countries have but then they probably aren't as great as the USA.
    No, I did not say it would be easy but that is your 'challenge'.

    Fair point, even unnecessary wars do not seem to slow down GOP Presidents. So if Trump adds one more avoidable conflict to the list it will probably not make a difference to internal politics.

    Even the expenditure of so much blood and treasure over nearly 2 decades makes little impression.

    And then they will drive an unregistered vehicle.

    Recently a new tunnel opened in Auckland and is clearly signposted as having a speed limit of 80 km/h (~50 mph) in lights and everything for some distance on either size.
    The speed cameras (also signposted) are pulling in ~ $1M a month and people complain about 'a money making tube'. Not their wilful ignorance.

    I believe it was the Soviet Union that killed the vast majority of the Nazi's in WW2, not the USA.
    Also remember the UK did not benefit from the Marshall Plan as the rest of Western Europe did.
    However the States did clean up the Japanese Empire with some assistance from the Brits and others.

    Really? I live in a civilised country that has State funded health care and there is nothing in the line of compulsory state directed policy of this nature.

    Our Government set up a programme for voluntary sterlisation for benficaries however the take up rate has been very, very low. 10's of people over a number of years in a country with a pop of 5M+.

    You really need to get out more.
