    I used to have problems with a mobility Radeon on my Thinkpad T40 a couple of years ago but things may have changed ... I currently have Ubuntu Hardy on a Thinkpad T60 with an ATI x1300. compiz ran out of the box. Have not had issues so far.

    ... EA uses dates (specifically the year) in the product names to make sure that you know that the NBA Live, Madden, etc ... you are currently playing with is already obsolete and that you need to purchase the new one which is more or less the same game with a few tweaks here and there.

    Considering how many "fake" Yahoo sign-in sites I've seen, I've always wondered if people actually used this "feature".

    I have to agree with this. I was looking for an issue tracking system that would allow me to add custom fields easily. After looking at several of them, Mantis fit the bill. It's very flexible and easy to install. It got me interested in learning PHP too.

    No but the article does mention that it would be something similar to what Wells foretold

    The logical outcome would be two sub-species, "gracile" and "robust" humans similar to the Eloi and Morlocks foretold by HG Wells in his 1895 novel The Time Machine.

    To add to aikizensurfer's post .... what's interesting is that they've added (via third parties?) add on services such as Classifieds (payable via the local telcos payment through SMS), and flower delivery. I don't know though if these features are also offered elsewhere.

    A lot of folks here are on Friendster. I always get a kick out of chatting with somebody from the Yahoo chatrooms (yes, Yahoo is the popular IM client here) and then pretending I know them by searching their Yahoo ids (appended with @yahoo.com) to find their real identities in Friendster.
