If you're paying for the DVD, you shouldn't have to pay for the commercials
Obviously you have not visited your local movie theater as of late. I have begun to boycot movies for the simple fact that I pay $8 to $10 per person
to watch a movie only to find out that there are 4 to 5 commercials prior to
the movie. I don't mind the endless row of trailers (that _is_ the product after all), but I have an issue with paying to watch commercials. Cut the
ticket price to $3.00 and then make me watch commercials, but the price never
changed.
My homecountry does not need any additional amendment to give people free speech, it's part of the constitution. But then again, it has a better standard of living, better almost everything according to globally used statistics. So, you can continue to believe in your own propaganda, but people outside this country are maybe not as stupid as you may think. But then again, I find that most of the loudmouths screaming about American freedom etc, have never been outside their own country, so the material used in their comparison is generally missing alltogether.
So why are you here? Let me guess, your here for the Capitalism. The opinion you are expressing is very similar to that of the European Aristocarcy that I've had conversations with while living abroad.
They didn't say tamper-proof. They said resistant. The scheme they describe would make it rather hard to alter they bytestream.
Does my system not connected to anything, and powered off count as tamper-resistant?
I suppose this is another glaring example where wording for a patent should be as accurate as possible and it's not. It's really left up to interpertation.
1) Lawyers create obscure and vague patents
2) Patents end up in court for clearification/challanges
3) Lawyers get paid to dispute wording that they used in the patent
4) Repeat step 3 as needed
4) Profit!
Most geeks must have good memories. The amount of info that has to be assimilated and managed is, to say the least, considerable. It follows most geeks would be able to retain a storyline and much attendant material from watching a movie once or maybe twice.
What makes owning this set of dvds and, presumably, rewatching the material worthwhile?
The only movies I've watched repeatedly are Casablanca, Apocalypse Now and to a lesser extent Alien and Blade Runner, but I've no idea why I can watch Casablanca and Apocalpse Now over and over. I know the material very nearly by heart, but have no idea what the mechanism is that hooks me in.
What no Office Space? Oh, wait a minute, some of us live it, not watch it.
Oh yeah, do you have the patent? I think that is the aim of most of these "next great inventions" anyway. That way when someone does pick up the technology and run with it, the base company waits until it has a large user base, then threatens legal action.
It's only "illegal" to the US. The Mexican Govt. probably doesn't consider it illegal to go to another country at your own will. And on that note, the US govt. doesn't mind illegals as long as they pay taxes. Funny huh?
I'm surprised this hasn't received more mainstream coverage in the U.S. I've heard nothing from CNN, Headline News, Fox News, or MSNBC about this.
That's because the press being left in nature is too busy singing Koom-by-ya, loving the UN and poo-pooing the US. I'm sure they will report how the US is "hording" services from "poorer" nations.

"What happen?" "What !" "What You Say !!" "It's You !!" "HA HA HA HA ...."
That may be a clue to walk away at that point.
I'd like to have this problem.
Is it true that there is a lip behind that mustache?
What Larry Ellison thinks of this announcement...
Not a cheerleader, but a user of both sites, so here goes:

There's even more space dust on the book!

Can I have some then?

Let me guess, you also had a group of pet rocks you called your friends.

... of finding active volcanoes on Venus? Could someone get some practical use out of such a find?
Well, the US takes Mars, Europe takes Venus, and the taxable populations get it in the Uranus.
Isn't it amazing that when the world works together, how little is really accomplished? ISS, UN, etc...
They are actually called "Zombie Evildoers"

Sixty thousand smackeroos, that's the high life all right. After buying the BMW he had gas money for a few weeks.
Weeks? I want to know where you are getting your cheap gas.
Can it blow a woman's clothing off?
Having a little trouble "sealing the deal?"
if you could see the remains from the lunar landings. Of course, for the tin foil hat crowd, that would mean that the images were of Arizona.

Sure. Just bite down on your nearest power cord. You should see it then.
