The reception was not mostly silent. In Colbert's interview with Jesse Thorn, on iTunes, he says it sounds silent, because C-SPAN did not mic the audience. He said that throughout the act, he felt he was getting good feedback.
This is a No-CD crack, which has a legitimate use. If you lose your CD for instance. The hacking group in question hasn't stolen anything of Ubisoft's.
You don't HAVE to buy them. Twitterific free version will just stick a advert from 'The Deck' advertising network in ever hour or so, just like the desktop application.
With the price of oil currently so high, do you really think OPEC isn't producing at maximum capacity? They are currently limited by their refinery capacity. It has very little to do with politics.
Apple's laptop keyboards have a hardware feature which prevents the caps lock activating if it is accidently jabbed whilst typing.
I've mapped the caps lock on my keyboard to a command key.
So their other servers are in a country which is basically at sea level, and one which is under threat of invasion by North Korea, and experiences frequent earthquakes?
The GPL exploits the copyright system to essentially do the opposite of what was intended, force people to release changes to intellectual property. One is allowed to modify the code without releasing source as long as they don't distribute the binaries. And lastly, copyrights are not necessarily evil but they are currently too powerful, and ownership is retained for far too long.
But why take the risk? Trying to point out security issues to the admins got someone else in serious trouble, they've shown they don't want to be helped. Keep your head down, and avoid anything on your record.
Would never happen, because it would put the technical crew and writers on par with the multimillion dollar actors. And I'm not sure that the actors would like that.
Think about the cheaper and portable Macs though. The Mac mini and Macbooks could not have gone 64 bit immediately without increasing the size or heat output. And the tools in Xcode allow easy(ish) generation of Universal binaries which run on 32/64 bit Intel/PowerPC. I admit it's not as simple as pure 64 bit Intel, but it's not as bad as on Windows, where 64 bit adoption has been bad due to massive compatibility problems.
I keep reading this, but as someone currently studying A levels, I'm finding it hard to believe. I'm currently at one of the highest achieving state sixth forms in the country, and most people here are doing 4 AS levels, then dropping one to continue to A level. Universities don't really want 4 A levels anyway, they want 3 GOOD A levels. This idea that all the best students are getting straight As is not something that I have seen to be true.
Regarding exams being dumbed down, it may be true that we are doing easier exams, but we are the most tested generation ever. The pointless SATs exams in year 9, then public exams in years 11, 12 and 13. The real problem is teachers not having enough time, and having to cram things in to fit the tight exams schedule
Up until now, MediaSentry have been DOSing people who were actually running trackers with copyrighted material on. These people may not be keen to call in the Feds, in case they get prosecuted.

It ain't illegal for me, I'm British. We haven't had an attempt at a DMCA style law yet. Only a matter of time I suppose...

I set them up with a Mac (yes, I know but the Dock is a great thing it you only ever need 4 applications)
What do you know?

That article was based on a statistically insignificant sample size.
I was actually joking, but thankyou for informing my humorous remark.

What if two different people own, for example, pizza.com and pizza.net? Who gets the TLD then?
Yes, because left wing bloggers are all a homogenous group, who would all agree and support this tactic.

No, OS is operating system. I can't work out what the slash is doing in the middle though.
What on Earth does O/S mean?

That tradition is alive and well in Britain. The traditional response to an injury here is to apologise to the person who inflicted it.
By how do you wash the car, I assume you mean, does it have to be dry cleaned, or is it machine washable?
iCal does it itself now, but only if you've plugged an iPod touch or iPhone into your computer, for some reason.
GCSEs mean nothing to universities. HONESTLY.

Doesn't this put undue strain on the TOR network? Shouldn't only vitally anonymous stuff be put through it?
