A large part of the problem here is that this isn't a simple 1->2->3 progression. There are days when I can use firefox all day and have it be snappy and only use about 100MB active with about 500MB in virtual memory.

There are other days, however, when Firefox uses 700MB of active memory and nearly 2.5GB of virtual space. Now, this is the result of 2-5 days worth of browsing. How in your right mind do you expect me to keep track of every click that I made over 5 days so that you can file a bug report? Do you have a keytrapper and site visitation storage engine that keeps up every image, flash video and html of the site? After all, it could be any of that. I don't mind trying to help out, and I'm sure a large portion of the FF community doesn't either, but we've gone beyond what the end users can do to help you with this issue, percieved or real, and it's now in your hands to be the developer and QA this to find out what is going on.

First off, I'm not sure where the 395 is coming from, because what I see on Apples site is $329 for a 500GB drive, which is $100 less than Dell. The 4 GB RAM options on my list (4x1GB) is $620 from Dell and $699 from Apple. All in all, not really any different and a lot cheaper than what you are telling people. And I've seen the same for MacBook Pro's and iMacs as well.

Finally, at least for the Mac Pro, the drives, graphics and memory is all user servicable...so buy the base line model and add those cheaper drives and memory if you want. They won't stop you and you won't void your warrantee.

That and he's got the $500 PS3 on there, comparing with the highend 360. He should really have the $600 PS3 on there.
Really? Looking at it, feature by feature:
    • The 360 Premium has a 20GB hard drive, and so does the base PS3
    • The 360 Premium has component out, and so does the base PS3
    • The 360 Premium allows for wireless controllers, and so does the base PS3
    • The 360 Premium does not include a wireless adaptor, and neither does the base PS3
    • The 360 Premium does not allow for HDMI or 1080p, and neither does the base PS3

So, why should the most expensive get compared? From what I can tell, the PS3 has a web browser, the 360 has memory card slots, and the PS3 is $100 more. (am I missing anything, feature wise, to bump my comparison to the $600 model?)

However, to play online, you pay $59/year with the 360 and $0/year with the PS3. Now, I know that there are a lot of people that have no interest in playing online, but I'm not one of them. So, over time, the PS3 actually becomes a better bargain for me, starting at year two.

Kinda strange to think about, huh? Putting a wireless adaptor on the 360 to compare to the upper-end PS3 makes the situation even worse, since you now have HDMI and 60GB worth of space to play with.

In addition, if Sony does not increase their licensing fees, keeping the games at $50 per, you could see another $150 or so difference after that same time frame, with it only getting better...

However, if you do and want all the bells and whistles, the Playstation 3 actually is a better bargain than the 360. Just think about that for a moment...

The two year old girl will take the big, medium, and small cars and rename them "daddy car", "mommy car", and "baby car". At two years old, this is not socialization.

Actually, from doing lots and lots of gender research, I can tell you that by the age of two, a child will know, on a basic level, what a boy and a girl is, what they are expected to be, and which one they are.

I think that perhaps a better correlation to look at is women business owners...

As of 2004, half of all businesses in the US were owned by women. Good figure, right? However, only 8 Fortune 500 companies are run by women...and those that do receive substantially less pay than their male counterparts.

Now then, until the 50% study was released, people were always saying that women had no interest in running a big business, that they "just didn't think that way" or that it was a difference in how they are constructed. But now, there is no real excuse...women are largely barred from the top levels of established companies, left instead to work as "lesser" folk.
