Yeah - that's really smart thinking. Base your perception of the size of the controller on a picture that has no point of reference in it. For all you know, that controller is ten feet wide you idiot. Give that MS abandoned the original controller and only sells the S, it's probably safe to assume the next controller will be similarly sized but your reason for thinking that is absolutely retarded.

I hated admitting that my hands were too small to use the Xbox 1 controlller comfortably. It hurt my male ego. :)

    2. With more people able to produce content based on the characters, interesting new takes on the content would pop up. Have you read 'Grendel' by John Gardner? It's an interesting addition to the Beowulf mythos and, if Beowulf had been produced in today's IP climate, it would have never existed.

There's too much story to make a story out of the content? That's funny. I think that the Zahn trilogy would be great as a series of movies. Sure, there's a lot in the books that wouldn't make it into the movies but I don't see how there's a threshold where too much content in the source prevents anything from being created in another medium from it.

"And, the sequel books are written by Timothy Zahn et al"
Which is exactly why Star Wars should be in the public domain. Lucas has made his money, it is time for the people to demand ownership of the property. Either the government needs to step in or Lucas needs to have a final moment of redemption and let it go.

Arguing over whether copyright exists to further progress or protect individual rights is foolish - they both come as a result of copyright. Furthermore, with cases like Mickey Mouse, clearly copyright has taken on a much different form than the original wording. You can clearly see that Mickey Mouse not entering public domain is in the interest of the Walt Disney company and has much less to do with "progress."

A person is a "dick" for retaining their property? There's an interesting thought. Seems like Lenin would be right behind you on that one. Honestly, Nintendo doesn't want their Mario property dilutted because they still make money off of it. They're not being "dicks", they're just making smart business moves. I think it is childish to label someone a "dick" because they are taking advantage of the laws that exist. Perhaps the laws need to change, perhaps not. But playing by the rules currently in place doesn't make someone a dick. Do you hold any copyrights? Perhaps if you did, you might realize that you're not exactly seeing this issue clearly.

There needs to be IP reform in terms of how long the rights are held by a company but just because a company decides they are no longer going to produce a given product does not mean they should lose all rights to that product.

On the one hand, the games section is flooded with posts by "elite gamers" who insult gamers who buy a new NFL, MLB, whatever game every year since, in their eyes, it's nothing more than a roster update. These people don't play sports games and believe the people who do buy sports games are morons. On the other hand, you get these same people who are ranting about EA being a monopoly and how these agreements are going to stifle innovation.

You see, this is rather odd. They'll post that EA's and Sega's line of games from the past have been nothing but a series of roster updates but they'll also post that EA will no longer innovate without competition.

I just think that the vast majority of people who post in the games section don't have an appreciation and do not enjoy sports video games.

Language is the only thing that separates us from animals. If you mean to say, "Show me where MS makes a claim that is not consistent with the hardware abilities of the Xbox." say that - don't ask for specific numbers. Not really. You're vastly overstating the situation. But in asking the question, the discussion of the problem can lead to solutions for a wide variety of problems that might be affecting the hard drive. Saying, "You haven't told me enough about the hard drive's problems so I can't give you a solution." may be true, but certainly you could offer pointers about various problems that crop up in hard drives and what possible solutions exist. Again, more solutions are more likely to be useful to more people.

The original poster was not offering a valid point. Sure, if you believe that cost isn't a factor means that cost really isn't a factor.
