  1. Buisness Model on Zune Not Compatible With Windows Vista · · Score: 1

In order to "Kill" the ipod and its seamless compatability and integration with iTunes and all other apple products we MUST make a product that doesn't work with our Plays for Sure format, doesn't work with other download services that we sponsor, and it won't work with our newest operating system! Success is guaranteed!

Sometime I wonder how these guys even made it to the top.

EEG, does not read action potentials, rather it reads synaptic input into the cortex not output from the cortex. The news article has this backwards.

probably mySpace because you have to be enrolled in a university first to get a Facebook account. And I don't think any Iranian universities qualify for a facebook account yet. Also if Iran censors blogs then myspace is probably blocked too. So next in line is for the govt to set up QueidaSpaceBook

  12. Re:Which is all great... on The Doom of Wired Peripherals · · Score: 1

I totally agree. Yes things like wireless mice and internet are wonderful. But things like printers and scanners don't move that much. How often do you lug your printer to a meeting or pull our your scanner in the middle of class. NEVER! But you do with mice and internet. That is why I personally think the trend will be towards (at least for the everyday guy) better laptops with better docking stations. That way you can have your entire office set up, cables hidden and everything and the only thing you need to worry about is docking the laptop. Have the set up at home and at the office and you have the best combination. NO interference from other wireless devices (only your mouse is wireless) and everything works all the time. No batteries no worries.

    my 2 cents.

  14. When... on Warner to Sell Music on DVD · · Score: 1

When will the RIAA finally realize that if they want to start making money again they need to make a product that thier customers like. Customers are not that stupid, who will want to buy a music DVD player (which will be more money) and music DVD's (which will have less functionality) then current CD's.

I am not buisness savy but I always thought the way to make money was to sell a superior product (or atleast convince people that your product is superior) at a better price.

I have yet to see the RIAA do this.

To: RIAA, please treat us like people and not criminals. We want to purchase your product just please produce it in a form that makes it worth purchasing in the first place. From: The World

  17. Re:Bone Marrow Transplant on Parexel Destroys Immune Systems, Not Liable · · Score: 1

It would restore "a immune system" but not their own. The Immune system that grows after a bone marrow transplant is the immune system of the donor, and wouldn't necissarily recognize the new host as "self" (meaning good tissue). It is very common for people who recieve marrow transplants to take immuno-suppressants as to prevent the new immune system from attacking their body.

  23. MRI? on Honda Robot Controlled By Brain Waves · · Score: 1
"signals detected by a magnetic resonance imaging scanner were relayed to a robotic hand"

I don't know if this is a case of bad translation or bad reporting but MRI is not used to measure brain waves. MRI uses intense magnetic fields to detect the SPIN on a hydrogen atom, and then can be used to create 3D structures. The spin of an atom is a sub-atomic property which is NOT affected by chemical let alone cellular processes. Also the brain waves that are produced during synaptic activity are incredibly small and the magnetic fields being produced by the MRI machine would easy squash the brain wave signals. Thies recordings were most likely done with an EEG machine.
