Yes there is a version of windows media player for Mac OS X but it doesn't include the newest version of Microsoft's DRM necessary to play songs purchased from sites like buymusic or walmart.com.

You can save in your favorite format without actual CD burning:
Boot Linux on your PPC, start MOL with your OSX in X11 window with network activated, run iTunes, listen the file, hook at your xmms and save it in any format xmms supports.
That sounds like an awful lot of work, when you could just use Audio Hijack to do the same thing from within Mac OS X

If you are looking for a replacement for the nonexistent official conduit for OS X check out MAL Conduit. It works great even with my old Palm IIIxe.

Quake3's smp only works with Nvidia TNT2 cards under NT4.
This is just not true. Quake 3 smp also works under Mac OS X and it does has a large impact on FPS.
