If I'm performing in front of a bunch of cameras, I'm not going to give as good a show. Then people will say, "See? Why should I spend the money to go to a live show?"
Second, way back in those olden days, there were accommodations made so that people could make phone calls. There was this whole network of what was called "pay phones." You could insert money and make a phone call. So if, for some reason, you needed to get ahold of someone to say you were running late, you could pull off into a gas station or pretty much any group of shops and find one of these "pay phones" that you could use. They were pretty ubiquitous.
Now-a-days, not so much. Look around next time you're at the gas station or inside a mall or a group of shops.
Puh-leeze! Don't you understand that if companies had to do that, it would slow innovation? American companies would less innovative! We cannot have an innovation gap!
Besides, no company would sell a dangerous product because it would affect their profitability! So why have this extra step? We can certainly trust companies to make sure that their products aren't dangerous because it's in their own interest!
So a few people get injured along the way. That's price you pay for innovation!
PG-13 sounds like 'Parental Guidance for children under 13' but if you read the go to the MPAA's web site their fine print it says "PG-13 (Parents Strongly Cautioned) – Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13."
I'm not sure I see the difference. Some material may have been inappropriate for six year-olds--arguably, Han's death. What's the problem?
The ISS is closer to you than most destinations on this planet!
Well, that all depends on where it is at a given time. At best, it's between 250-350 miles away. At worst, I'd imagine that it's around 7400-7500 miles, if you go on a straight path. Of course, to do that, you have to go through a big chunk of rock.
Time? Well, generally it takes 2 days, which is about how long it takes to fly half-way around the world commercially. That said, with proper planning, it can be done in as little as six hours.
So, when you say Gary Johnson wants to destroy something that is already broken, you're not going to get any argument from me, it NEEDS to be destroyed.
Fair enough. And replace it with...?
Yeah. That's what I thought.
It's easy to tear things down. It's harder to build things up.
Good point. It could have been Brad or Angelina's minions. Or they did a story on Justin Bieber's new girlfriend and all the Beliebers couldn't handle it.
I dunno. They've managed to land boosters on barges in the ocean. They've managed to land boosters on dry land. They're getting pretty good at landing these things.
Well, it all depends. Yes, realistically, I want someone who looks/sounds like a teenager and, while I think it'd be entertaining to see Anthony Hopkins do a London Teenager (in voice), I don't believe he could physically carry it off. Though they are doing interesting things with digital effects nowadays (The "young" RDJ in Captain America: Civil War was pretty well done, the "young" Michael Douglas in Ant-Man wasn't bad...)
That said, there are plenty of examples of actors pulling off playing younger and you don't necessarily notice it. Heck, lots of "High School" roles are played by people over 18 (child labor laws being what they are).
Shitty person? Dude just got another job, that's all. That doesn't one make "shitty"
We haven't heard the whole story, I agree. And I think "shitty" might be a bit strong.
But from what I have heard, from one side at least, it sounds like he was "hedging his bets"--got the job at Apple and figured he'd double-dip for as long as he could. If the Apple thing didn't work out, he could come back and no one would be the wiser that he was gone.
That wouldn't be a big deal anywhere else. But in journalism? Yeah, that's a bit tacky, to say the least.
It's not just how hard you check, but how incisively.
Like my old boss used to say, "Check incisiver not harder."
We had him locked up.
Ok asshole... For what crime exactly?
The crime of pissing him off, obviously.
This is an excellent point.
If I'm performing in front of a bunch of cameras, I'm not going to give as good a show. Then people will say, "See? Why should I spend the money to go to a live show?"
Back in my day, we had half-naked women pop-up. Why can't we go back to those simpler times...?
First, in some cases, they didn't.

(And, yes, I'm being very facetious)
...or while he's on the way home from work, so that there'll be a nice hot cup of tea waiting for him when he walks through the door.

What if I have a self driving bike and I want to catch a nap?
i've been coding professionally for 20+ years and i've never once had to use profanity or murder to accomplish my goals [...]
Then you have weak goals. My goal is "World Domination" and I'll swear at or kill anyone who gets in my way. That's how things get done, Mister!
(Yes, I'm being facetious.)
Trust me. It isn't what it's cracked up to be.
"Those of you who think you're perfect are really annoying to those of us who are."
Right. So if you think you're going to "out-draw" the AI, you're probably SOL.
Which means you have to out-think it. Snipe it, staying out of it's vision.
Good point. It could have been Brad or Angelina's minions. Or they did a story on Justin Bieber's new girlfriend and all the Beliebers couldn't handle it.
I mean, it could have been anybody.
Ah yes...There's the G-Suite-Spot...

I'm reminded of Goldie Hawn's line in First Wive's Cliub: There are only three ages for women in Hollywood - Babe, District Attorney, and Driving Miss Daisy. Though I'd argue it's "Assistant District Attorney" (can't have a woman as a DA in Hollywood...)
I'm not going to sit here and listen to you bad mouth the United States of America! Gentlemen!
Not to mention the issues with It's.

I think they're still selling POWER-based systems.
Four spaces my ass... learn to indent properly, dammit.
And while you're at it, 2 Spaces!
They tried. They failed.
...and, most of all, I want those damn kids to get off my lawn!
