I didn't RTFA but from the resume a can see myself... I wanted to go into Physics (last year) to do research in physics because I thought CS was a tool... Turned out I didn't like Physics that much to go up to a PhD but my CS+PHYS class we're a blast (at least for me)... So now I'm in CS and hopefully that's the right career path for me!
Why is everyone complaning... this probably affect 5% of slashdot not even... just use your favorite torrent client and download and VLK version of vista not that hard... and for IT's ok it might be a pain but eh your not the one paying for all those license and I just makes you more work... anyways I don't see how this could affect anyone on slashdot... also people that use.iso normally know how to get.iso's of windows so shouldn't be a problem same as VM machines

HL2 is just too realistic compared to HL1 and it kills the gameplay. It's no wonder why CS 1.6 is still whats being played. CS Source is just over bloated. HL2 is just one great engine. It would probably had more succes if it didn't come out a year late too...

Microsoft will package an anti-spyware with Vista... it doesn't mean it's going to be all that great... it's not because IE is included into windows that no one uses alternative browsers... and M$ anti-spyware will not fix any hole but just clean up the shit... the main reason of the spyware problem is the user having to much power and being stupid... not m$
I think he forgot to say that HEXUS was getting a minimum of 3 reviews posted each week on Slashdot because Slashdot love to do free publicity. At least if the reviews weren't made of two picture like the xbox watercooler one and actually had some info's in them (benchmarks, temperatures, reviews).
In canada every1 uses MSN... I used to use ICQ long time ago but then everyone who statrted using internet were using MSN... I had to switch from icq to msn has I only had h4x0rs on my ICQ... too bad MSN is such a memory hog.. aMSN is good to fix this issue but still ain't the same has MSN.. looking forward to try thi release though
I don't understand why someone would wan to buy a program like l0pthcrack when there are better alternative for free... http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ is free and uses rainbow table... you don't even need to generate the tables.. you can download them.. there is even a linux live cd so no need to install it or to have admin access... anyways l0pthcrack used to be the thing but now it's outdated..

Ok a build leaked, so what? it's not like it's the first build to be leaked... some release groups live only on that... there was like 50 builds of whislter (xp) that leaked.. does that mean xp sucks? no. of course all the *nix lover will bash me but wtv... xp is good... at least it's the best x86 desktop os for general cosomation... no liux distro is as mature as xp and probably will never be has money is what makes the wold turn... anyways stop bashing M$ and windows theres no link between the article subject and your bashing.
p.s. I use gentoo on my dektop so don't claim I'm sold M$
