Asterix the Gaul is well established and very long running comic strip, having first appeared in 1959, regardless of how recently it may have appeared as a webcomic.
With motion capture technology getting better and cheaper - and capable of real-time capture - incorporating a body in VR should be a solved problem soon. Startups are flocking to this space:
Yes, I like the idea. Please create your website. Hell, I'll even help you if you need it.
Also, shameless plug for the Society of Amateur Radio Astronomers and Ham Sci who are doing stuff you describe.
E-mail is the last service provided by ISPs since Verizon, like many others, no longer hosts web pages for their users.
This could actually be a good thing. ISPs are reduced to providing connectivity and nothing else. Now, there is no reason to stick with a given ISP, and those that have choices where they live can shop around for their internet connection.
However, in between, there were a lot of great postings about soundtracks, directors, subplots, scenes, that only true fans that had seen the film several times would have known or noticed. I'll miss these postings. Without them, I have no reason to use IMDB.
OK, I get the part about X-ray comms. What I don't get is the need to deploy an X-ray beacon for the satellites to navigate. After all, there are already natural sources that can be used. The technology for using these sources is credible enough that real money and real hardware is being developed for it.
One reason I posted this was to see if anyone had further information. He was taking drugs for a mental health condition and may have had a meth addiction at one time. Although I would immediately suspect radiation, any of those other things could have been the cause of his demise.
Phsaw. Object 2014 FE72 in the TFA is stated as being at 3000 AU. The Oort cloud barely begins at 2000 AU and may go out as far as 50,000 or even 200,000 AU. Granted these figures are more conjecture than precise measurements, but if even approximate, the object 2014 FE72 barely grazes the innermost edge of the Oort cloud, much less qualify as a "distant" Oort could object.
Instead of campaigning for vapid, advertising filled pop music, how about a campaign for NOAA Weather Radio? This could actually be useful as during severe weather, cell service is easily knocked out. Listeners could be alerted to severe weather events in their area: tornadoes, flooding, etc.
BTW, if anyone wants to jump in and design their own Starcraft AI, this API is available for you to do it (I have no connection to the API project, btw).
The API is for the Starcraft Broodwar. If anyone knows of an API for the more recent Starcraft II, please post.

Here's an old trick: Make your self a rule that you can't watch a video longer than half as much as the one you just watched.

This looks like a ploy to generate investment money for PTScientists, a company that claims to have developed a spacecraft capable of delivering two rovers, or up to 100 kg of payload, to the lunar surface. No mention of a rocket, rocket tests or any aerospace industry activity at all, except for designing two rovers, probably in their basement.
The only 3D movie where I enjoyed the effects was A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, and that's only because they used 3D for the cheap gags.
Everytime the phrase "extinction level event" comes up, I am reminded how much money this Indigogo campaign was able to raise.

Agreed. If you think you are one of those, or know somebody that might be like that, I encourage you to read the book Quiet by Susan Cain and/or subscribe to the author's blog on the subject. Ms. Cain, in spite of being an introvert, is a great public speaker, and you may enjoy her TED talk about introversion.

...for "Robot and Frank", about what the elderly might do with robots and the resulting emotional attachments.
But it would be worth it to have the drone operators (very politely) ask and armed woman if they can have their drone back.
