    In the course of her work with Watson and Crick, Rosalind Franklin had to do a serious amount math by hand (Patterson analysis to create Patterson maps). Later, after her work on DNA she was forced to hire a computer (an 18yr old girl) to do the leg work on the data she gathered on the Tobacco Mosaic Virus.

    I wonder, what she would have thought, to know that very thing she was studying could some day be used to do the math that took up so much of her time.

    Alice receives a memo from Bob, tries to forward it to Charles and the phone denies her. Alice then calls Charles and tells him she just got a memo form Bob at head office, tried to send it on but her phone would not let her, she then relays the contents verbally. Alice then calls Bob and tells him to get on to the communications guy, these new phones are a pain in the arse, can she have her old one back please.

    However valid your point may be, I stopped reading the moment I came across the word "windooze" Not only do you misspell the corruption of the word Windows "Windoze". The very fact that you are using "windooze" instantly paints you as a 26yr old star trek nerd living in you parents basement. The strength of you argument is severely weakened by this.

    But what does it do that requires it to be a bi-pedal moving robot. It has a camera... so what, I can mount my own in every room and cover all rooms at the same time. Entertain the kids? For a week, till the get board, and/or break it. Remind you of appointments etc... I got a PDA, (and a long term/short term) memory of my own. Warn me of intruders? see above, under cameras. Its a neat toy, but for all that it does, it does not need mobility.

    Its used in a lot of universities already, its a standard "distro" Has fantastic documentation and a less restrictive licence.

    Why not *BSD?
