Even if it is one of the most advanced systems in the world. If I am not mistaken, the highways even can tell how fast traffic is travling, and divert some of it through private roads.
A laptop would hardly do, now that/. knows about it. Just go with what you all ready have.
I hear that you can also stream video with Flash, that could be a very good solution, too. http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/flash/articles/fl v_download_04.html It wouldn't require an investment anything more than Windows Server (required for streaming video to Windows Media Player).
75% choose to view in Windows Media... Because Microsoft brain-washes their customers! Really, if WMP was not pre-installed with windows, that figure would be around 30-50%.
Yes, but than come in games: 20-60 dollars a game, with mabye 15-50 hours of fun per game. That is about a dollar an hour, it costs less than many arcades, but still, it adds up.
It would help if you TARGET that audience. Nintendo [PDF] puts it nicely. Learn (AKA Copy) a thing or two, thats how the XBox came out in the first place, right?
Microsoft passport requires this to access many first-party features, so it isn't somthing new. But the fact you do need to enter a credit card number is disturbing, not just detering people away from the game. Passport stores your number in a database after you enter it; would this?
Nonsense! Antennas, as long as they don't send signals, are perfectly okay with the FCC (70% sure). The only power the FCC has is controlling what goes over the air. And just because enforcment thinks it is illegal does NOT mean the courts will agree. (There was no source cited in those articles, so it is impossible to tell if they are even true)
Can I hold a Pringles can up to the right spot and expect results? Basically, what are my options, and which do you recommend?
Yes, actually. I built one, and it works quite well. I have only bothered getting signals from a mile or so, but it should work up to two or even three.
They COULD have manufactured the firmware updater in the ROM, not flash/RAM/wherever. But no!
If there were a virus like this for the DS, it could totally spread like a virus. Imagine: "Oh, COOL! I thought [game] wasn't out yet! I'll download it right away!"
Now imagine coupling this with some sort of wireless buffer-overflow exploit (that does not exist, as of yet). The horror!
The DS is much better because of two all-important features:
The touch screen
Download games and programs from peers
The second option has seeded the way for using the DS to interact with the Revolution, because this allows you to use it as part of the game, not just for transfering information.
It should be worong for users to advertise that P2P can be used for trading copyrighted materials when they usually would not be allowed to. HOWEVER this does not mean that the programs are doing anything wrong!
Simply sugesting thet BitTorrent is bad because it is P2P is like the RIAA sending a letter to the government saying to "ban the internet!"
My favorite quote:
Q: [...] Do you feel you're in competition with Google, Yahoo and other Web properties for developers' attention?
Gates: No, I don't think so [...]
Yah, right.
Mabye I just like to talk, but I just love talking about Metroid prime, and it's absolutely brillant craftsman ship. It's not what you would call easy at all; and my gameplay time is nearing 30 hours, but this dosn't includes all those times I've died (Than we are talking about 60-80 hours). Reguardless, if this is true, I think the biggest contributer is RPGs, many you don't die, in you just spend several hours whittling away at opponents health.
Right now there is no standard way of maintaining indexes. Most databases have some sort of CREATE INDEX query, but it is by no means standardized.
Really all I think Linus used is USENET, mailing lists, etc (A bit of luck dosn't hurt, too).
Even if it is one of the most advanced systems in the world. If I am not mistaken, the highways even can tell how fast traffic is travling, and divert some of it through private roads.
Nintendo has confirmed it's all free (the NES games and online play, at least). Just buy, connect online, download, and play.
Nintendo:
Putting the 'R' back in free!

Somthing gives me a feeling that this 'fix' is for Wal-mart's inventory system and has nothing to with with the kiosk.

Yah, you gotta love those Betamax players!
Get on the Linux bandwagon, man!

Of course! Once copyrighted content is under your private use, you can do anything you want with it, as long as it is kept private.

Wouldn't this belong under YRO?

Are you joking? This is a very ood article about getting a refund if you do not agree to the windows license. It is possable!

Funny thing is, Exxon Mobil just published their biggest profit EVER. High prices is, mostly, just speculation.
