    Now that's just plain dishonesty.
    It's not because it's not useful most of the time that it is useless or not to be used.
    Some filesystems are not atomic or can be mounted with non-atomic options.
    Data corruption occurs.
    It's simply useful to test if the filesystem is all right. At least for developers.

    Doesn't change the fact that you can't rely on fsck to *recover* data.

    Most popular Linux filesystems are atomic and should not need fsck, unless something really bad happens.

    Uh, what? At least Firebug & Resurrect Pages work... I'm using them every day. I never had to do anything special, they auto-update.

    I hope they can improve it soon with feature-presence checking or something similar.

    They do it already, and automatically bump the version numbers (sure, it could be done better). I've never had issues with incompatible extensions and the rapid releases, with 30+ extensions. I guess the complaints are coming from people who don't actually use Firefox.

    One of FLAC's goals is decoding speed (and even the encoding is very fast). So they're alright with sacrificing a bit of compression efficiency.

    All AMD CPUs allow ECC for instance, so if you require ECC memory it's much cheaper to go with AMD.

    At least in France, it's not the case, even if credits cards and other financial enslavement tools are not widespread there. The sad thing is that people are actually convinced they save money! They don't (at best it's a loan with 0% interest) and they get a two-year locked contract, a simlocked phone, etc.

    Uh? It means Apple's "Super"Drives can't work on stantard USB 2.0 ports, they could use USB 3.0 and advertise it as a USB 3.0 device, it would be much more clear for the consumer. But I guess Apple wants its "Super"Drive to work only with Macs.

    USB 3.0 raises the 500mA limit to 900mA. Why create a nonstandard extension when there is a standard one?

    Either one sucks, and if you think riding a bike in either is just as comfortable as a car, you're an idiot. And who the fuck wants to bike in the rain when they have to be to work?

    That was my point, somehow they missed the "fucking" in "fucking rain". Anyway, not everyone is young and healthy. I'm asthmatic, the last time I took a bike for an average ride was a disaster. Iget sweaty with effort quite easily, too.

    So... how do I move heavy stuff? How do I travel when it's raining? When it's fucking cold? When it's fucking hot? When it's more than a few kms?

    I don't own a car and I use public transportation, yet I can see a lot of uses for one. A bike is not, and never will be, a replacement for a car.
