That is the problem with many performances of the old plays nowadays. They believe (wrongly in my opinion) that by sticking to the exact same lines its 'cultural value' will be preserved.

Problem is however, the plays were meant to entertain. When noone understands what the actors are talking about it isn't entertaining anymore. It becomes elitist...

If the publisher or author ever show up on my doorstep, I have every right to slam the door shut in front of their noses. They have no 'rights' to see what I have done with that book (if maybe I put it in a non authorized bookcase, or maybe I bought it in Japan and am now 'violating' their region-code ). All I have to do is obey the laws of the country I live in (and its copyright laws) and the properties of the transaction I made with the store.

  23. Re:Are EULAs proven in court anyway? on Spyware Maker Sues Detection Firm · · Score: 1

That you do not own the ideas and such isn't a problem, however, you DO own the cd and all bits and bytes on it. Most EULA's however tell you what you may or may not do with that cd and those bits and bites . They have no right to demand any such thing, since I made a transaction with the store owner, not them. I am in my full right to do anything Iwant with the cd (and bits and bites) I bought as long as I do not violate the copyright laws.

  24. agreement on Sony's EULA Worse Than Its Rootkit? · · Score: 1

Isn't it so that you have to actually agree to an EULA for it to have actual value ?

When you buy the cd, do you sign an EULA ? No. You buy it. The transaction has been made (andf the store claims to sell you a cd, not the right to listen it, no, at that point in time you have made an agreement with the store owner that you OWN that cd ) . Then you get home and find a little peace of paper in the cd cover that claims to be an EULA... how can that possibly be valid ? Nowhere in the transaction of the cd have you made ANY arrangement with the record company. Heck, they aren't even involved in the whole transaction.
