haha its quite hilarious hearing the mac fan boys complaining about this whole intel merger.. In general, most uneducated mac users, NOT THE EDUCATED ONES, hate Intel just because the associate Intel with Windows.. stop fucking associating a piece of hardware, with software.. you're missing the point.. the quality, and price is obviously better.. the fact that intel is such a popular company and manufacturers tons of chips, gives them the ability to sell them CHEAP!! which is good because maybe us PC users will finally fucking buy a Mac for a change.. the only reason we haven't in the past is because of how ridiculously and inapropriately expensive they have been.. you should be praising this event.. its what you have wanted all along you just don't even know it..

this idea is quite fascinating.. they must use a KVM type of technology.. i'd like to see what the little "network box" looks like.. things like this would be IDEAL for very large companies.. if its set up properly, i can only imagine what kind of cluster projects you could accomplish.. have a nice big server case full of employee nodes.. it would administration about 3,000 easier too for those help desk people out there.. just think about it.. the remote administration aspect is another good one too..

i think its GREAT that google is helping in getting this shit accomplished.. personally, I work at in office in a very rural area.. however, i can literally look across the street and see people that can get cable internet access.. for the past 3 years I've been trying to figure out some sort of broadband solution, but it will end up costing me tons of money.. Comcast says I need to pay them $3,000 to drill underground so they can lay cable.. thats bullshit.. satellite providers are a joke.. i can't deal with a fucking download limit.. so essentially, this internet over power line shit is the perfect solution for my fucking problem.. google, you could possibly be saving me and our business from destruction.. broadband will increase productivity quite substantially.. being that we're an online business that deals with hundreds of customers a week over the internet, you'd think I was ridiculous for telling you that there are 5 of us that work for this historical society, and we only have one dialup internet connection.. something needs to be done, but nothing can be done.. except this..

You'd figure since Linux is an open source, free operating system, the price of Linux PDAs should be substantially cheaper.. I want a Linux PDA the Price of one of those cheap Color Palm Pilots.. $200-300 price range would do the trick for me..

everyone seems to forget about the whole money situation..

i personally watch the old analog tv because i choose not to watch cable tv.. i think its pointless in my opinion because all the networks suck anyway with the exception of a few.. and i feel that I shouldn't have to pay $50+ a month for only a few channels..

but i hope that one day, networks like discovery, comedy central, and cartoon network will start offering a Live internet feed of their regular daily broadcast to those who choose to pay a small subscription fee.. i think it'd be genius..

lets admit it, DSL is still by far much cheaper than cable at the moment.. I bought the cheapest phone line I could get for $13 a month.. Verizon DSL for $29.95 month.. thats around $43.00 a month for internet access..

if you choose to buy cable internet and do not have cable tv, it costs around $60+ a month.. if you already have cable tv ($50 a month) and want internet access, it will be an additional $20-$40 per month.. with the DSL method, you save quite a bit of money, and get all the internet tv you could want.. but i still like the fact that my tax dollars pay for analog broadcasting because I enjoy the PBS network and their programming on occasion.. i'm not looking forward to buying the $200 box, although I am excited to get a better quality reception with public digital tv..
