    That's because the first couple search results are "sponsored results" (meaning sites that don't really have much to do with your site, but paid google an assload of money).

    Not to mention that the whole "decaying medium" argument is ridiculous. If a hard drive fails, replace it. If you get something better than hard drives, copy it. It's not like big servers only keep the information in one specific place. There's usually copies.

    Seems to me that it's just as easier to type gmail.com than mail.yahoo.com. Of course, if I actually used my gmail account I'd have a bookmark to it. As for getting a gmail account, you have to be invited anyway.

    That's probably just that low power "suspend" thing. Hibernate turns the computer off completely (it has to write all memory to the harddrive, so unless you're not running anything at all, it should take a bit of time).

    I'm sitting on all sorts of job offers here in Colorado. Most of them suck (fast food, telemarketing, etc.) but it's not hard to get one.

    Yeah.. at my high school you needed to get 4 years of math classes (that would be everything up to precalc), 6 years of english classes (in 4 years), and all kinds of stupid classes like PE. Not to mention the insane amounts of homework.

    Especially considering that the library people who are supposed to be teaching them are all idiots. We had to do that in my sophomore year in high school, and our librarian taught us such useful things as "Google uses boolean search terms" and "The internet is never reliable".
