This line seems to make a difference: As was said in the earlier story, the script was "written for fun" and caused no damage.
Perhaps you should read the summary?
I feel the same way as the author, except not in a business setting. I keep wanting to put Linux on my computer, but every time I do, I find one minor bug that makes it completely impossible for me to use. Just recently I spent 3 hours trying to get sound working on a new install (I've NEVER had sound work out of the box on any distro I've tried, and once I get it working, it never stays working). And of course, as soon as I got sound working, the entire system crashed, and Linux didn't feel like giving me a BSoD, it just let me sit there for 5 minutes waiting for something to happen.
I read somewhere that environmental experts say that CFLs are better for the environment because the amount of mercury in them does less damage than the amount of pollution added to the atmosphere by power plants to provide the power difference between CFLs and incandescent lights.
In World of Warcraft, the Alliance and Horde characters don't speak the same language, so when one side says either "hahahah" or "lololol" (can't remember which), it shows up as "kekekeke" to the other side.
Yeah seriously. All these people hyped up about "cyber terrorism" or "cyber theft" or other phrases involving computer and bad things, and the BIGGEST CYBER THEFT EVER is one million dollars?
Wasn't there a movie where someone steals like 10 billion dollars from an international bank? That's way more cool..
But you're not being forced to use DRM. I don't buy music on iTunes because of DRM crap, but I really don't care if you do. If the music companies manage to lock everything down with DRM, I'll just have to live without their music.
This seems to indicate that Photoshop runs significantly faster on the G4 compared to the Macbook Pro. (First Google search result for benchmarks macbook pro photoshop)
Because they're not "done with their work" they're "not doing their work in the first place becasue they'd rather be checking their email and updating their myspace, not only wasting their time in school but tying up resources that could be better used by students who are interested in getting an education, few as they may be."
Congratulations on realizing that no one ever gets their work done early. And clearly no school in the United States has more computers than it needs.
I found that at my high school, most of the computer labs were empty, and the ones that were in use weren't full.
Coming up with more punishments won't help, it just makes people more resentful to their idiotic "technology specialists". How about they just stop waiting their time trying to block sites like that? Why do people care so much about what kids are doing at school when they're done with their work anyway? "Oh noes! Games on school computers!" "Oh noes! Kids are talking to each other online!"
Wikipedia has pretty good content on "classic" encyclopedia entries, but I agree with you that that's not why I use Wikipedia. I doubt Encarta or Britannica have an article about "Heroes" (the TV show) or a 15 page article on "The Legend of Zelda".
Not to mention that her eyes are opened wider in the second one to make her look surprised..
But do the sharks with lasers on their heads run Linux?

Say you're protesting the stupidity of harry potter books, and are therefore protected by the first amendment.

Good thing the Constitution isn't extremely obvious in how it's written..
Imagine millions of people jumping online, downloading entire porn sites..

And plasma has a tendency of not staying together.

Pfft.. you clearly didn't major in Psychohistory.
No it's not that. Paypal sucking isn't news. It has to be "Paypal hates soldiers and America!" to get to the front page by now ;)

Just think about it, which is more dangerous: Driving drunk or having your car die in the middle of the road?

I doubt it. I'd rather having someone driving moderately safely while drunk than having their car suddenly cut out while they're on the road with me.

Just what we need.. even more kids writing bad poetry and putting it on the internet. At least I won't be able to read it..
Because almost everyone still uses IDE..
I was under the impression McDonald's only has one kind. Plus, their sizes are in English, and no one likes that.
The iCar would suck. Sure it wouldn't crash, but it wouldn't have an engine either.
Spreadsheets are lame, like that guy in the suit. Geez, don't you know anything about hip teen culture??
