The Mac mini weighs 2.7 pounds. That's less than any Apple laptop (granted without the LCD). I see people taking this in the car and plugging them into those LCD screens. I'll be buying one as a general purpose computer and maybe to try out Tiger Server when it comes out.
As for the iPod shuffle, I lost my USB stick, so this would replace it nicely.
Sure. Just tell me how I can get the music I legally purchased licenses for at iTunes converted over to any other music store, and I'll cease using iTunes.
Or did you want me to throw away the music, and pay the MAFIAA fees again, after I already have purchased my license to listen?
First tell me how to convert the legally purchased Windows game I have over to another operating system.
Just make a City of Heroes style football game where users can make their own teams, design their own players, logos, etc, and have a txt import function for player names & stats.
The ipod belongs to the owner who paid for the device. Not to Apple. If you want to load Real content on it or if you want to store your Microsoft XP home directory on there, you should be able to do whatever you want to do.
You can put whatever you want on the iPod. It's seen as a hard disk. It may not do anything useful with those files in your XP home directory, but you can move them from one computer to another.
Free speech = drinking beer with an annual subscription fee for support? Yeah, I guess that works in a geeky kind of way. He might speak pretty freely after having lots of beer, and on each New Year's Eve pay some guys to show up at his home to support him in software development.:-P
Sounds more like the bars in dry counties in Texas that you pay a nominal $1-$5 annual license in order to be able to drink.
Who cares. FM is garbage mostly now. That is why I bought the iPod so I could carry all my music with me so I could avoid the frikin' radio. Radio is dead.
But not sports. The only thing I would want an AM/FM tuner for would be so I can still record/listen to sports stations. It would also be useful for timeshifting certain talk shows as well.
Although the icy moon bears a striking resemblance to the fictional 1997 'Death Star' from the Star Wars film by George Lucas, this low-density satellite probably had a more likely past not as a weapon or space station, but instead as a victim of one catastrophic day in its ancient history. That day Mimas came closer to dying rather than committing any planet-scale homicide.
1997? I know Lucas would like for us to forget about that "quaint" 70's version of the film, I didn't think he'd get scientific institutions to buy it!
I've been using the last version of BBedit Lite forever. Can't wait to download this tonight.
Actually, the Mac mini doesn't even have a mouse!

It seems that the EU forgot about Poland. :)
It refers to Steve Lillywhite producing their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourteenth albums.

Who cares? You just slept with a hundred people. :)

Agreed. Lots of jobs at the oil companies (including mine) are going to India these days. :(
Looks like the software patent people forgot about Poland.

As opposed to iTunes, which costs a fortune -- oh wait.
Hawaii, that is one of the members of our coal^H^H^Hstates. :) /Poland
I've never been a big fan of the stuff. Tastes too much like poppyseed or chewing tobacco. :)
"You use a Mac? Can that even route TCP/IP?" -- one of the tech leads where I work. Sigh.

- Create a folder called Test. Put some files here.
- Go to another location and create another folder called Test. Put some different files here.
- Drag the first Test folder to where the 2nd one is and drop it there. OS X will ask you if you want to replace the contents.
OS X replaces all the contents of the folder, not just copies over the different files. If you're a Mac OS X user, everyone. MS isn't developing IE for the Mac anymore.
I use gmail with Safari on 10.3 without any problems.
Jobs takes a month off on medical leave and they try to sneak the Newton back in while he's gone. :)
I'm too busy downloading the 10.4 Tiger preview. :)
Sell it and get a PowerMac G5. :)
