Why bother with lynx? telnet or netcat should do the job just fine, parsing html in your mind isn't THAT hard, and there are many many other good things about this approach. Security will be maximum, you'll never have those annoying popups again, no commercials of any kind, no porn (well except ascii porn that is), childsafe and besides it will stop paedophiles in a yet unknown way! I suggest we lobby legislation to forbid ANY http client except telnet, think about the children!
which is all good and fun for you guys as long as you have the upper hand (military-wise). However this will end someday, history has shown that too many times in the past. When that time comes you will NEED your allies and friends, if you still have them...
No i wouldn't run windows on that cluster either, however running linux usually eliminates the problem with drivers for old hardware. The boot stuff can still be a pain in the ass though:)
Yeah as long as YOU have money and can afford hospitals, a nice pension, never have to worry about loosing your job, i guess YOU will be alright without those tree-hugging-hippie programs such as social security and medicare, YOU don't need them, fuck the rest!
from the faq: "* 1.3 - Who is publishing DNF? Take 2 Interactive Software is publishing DNF. Prior to this, it was announced in a press release that the Gathering of Developers has acquired publishing rights to Duke Nukem Forever. Prior to that, their publisher was Infogrames (now known as Atari), who bought out GT Interactive as well as the DNF rights. Even before that, GT Interactive had bought the rights from FormGen."
Take 2 interactive... Finiancial woes... DNF Release date 2048 (they've made a NEW unix like time() system, they just need to wait for the old one to run out...)
More to the point, what does Ubuntu plan to do that Debian isn't already doing? The Debian project has already made good progress in terms of usability and so forth; why would Ubuntu want to mess with a good thing? And once they rebrand Debian, why would Debian continue to offer their internal updates? - It's called Open Source, check it out...
but then again, HOW many children NEED to get good at using their laptop? How many children do have the selfdisipline neccessary to educate themselves through those laptops? What do you think will happen to those children in the future?
