From it being impossible to locate a customer service contact, to extremely poor customer service, to endless formed responses to perpetual problems, to mismanaged ques, to throttling ques, to fraudulently shipping movies days after they've received previous ones, to consistently shifting blame from themselves to USPS because of S/H problems ON THEIR END.......there should be a class action against their extremely poor customer service and deceptive practices.
It's been done once, but obviously they haven't learned their lesson.
Haven't purchased nor utilized a land-line since 1999. It's been far more convenient, price effective and just plain simpler to deal with cell carriers. Not that cell phones/services don't have their quirks.
Besides, 99.9% of land-line carriers are monopolies and don't give a damn about their customers.
Two consenting adults role-played, one supposedly as a child (that's definitely up for debate considering the character variations allowed in SL), and simulated pixelated sex in a game and LL is getting all fussy about it, considering that they have openly allowed it for how long? I'm no advocate for kiddie porn, but am I the only one that thinks this is a little beyond absurd?
Next we'll be banning Furry Pron and guns in video games. THE HORROR!!!
Oh NOES!!!
Mark my words, the amount of information they are requiring for age verification will be SL's downfall.
As a former alumni of Va. Tech and former resident of Roanoke, VA, I would like to thank the Va. Tech talking heads, other liberal colleges around the state, campus police, Larry Hincker and all the other anti-gun crowd pundits who had a hand in striking down (illegally IMO) sound legislation (House Bill 1572); legislation proposed by the honorable Del. Todd Gilbert that would have allowed students and teachers, who hold a state-issued concealed carry permit, to carry a concealed gun on campus(es).
By there very unconstitutional actions they were complicit and abeted Cho Seung-Hui in the killings of 33 students yesterday at Va. Tech. There is no guarantee, but if the students/teachers of Va. tech would have been allowed to lawfully carry a concealed weapon on campus (without the fear of ejection from the college) this tragedy may have been averted. My sympathies to the families who have been affected by this insane action by a seriously disturbed murderer.
A bill being considered in the House of Delegates challenges the authority of public universities to restrict weapons on campus. http://www.roanoke.com/politics/wb/49915
The real question is, does completely changing the way $$$ is produced (which includes the huge $$$ amount associated with such transformation & implementation = tax dollars) outweigh the benefits it would be to those that are blind.
To the blind maybe, but to others I'm not sure changing US currency would be completely justified considering the enormous price tag.
How many people are blind in the USofA? Is there an estimate somewhere?

Just more of the reasons why p2p is a friend to the indie and just a few of the many reasons why the big record companies are going the way of the dinosaurs.
And just in case you weren't sure how the music industry works (and why we are inundated with lackluster crap advertised on the knob.....errrr, i mean 'played' on the radio by big manufactured label artists)!!
We've all known for a long time that contemporary pop music stinks. We hear "hits" on the radio and wonder, "How can this be?" Now we know. And memos from both Sony's Columbia and Epic Records senior vice presidents of promotions circa 2002-2003 -- whose names are redacted in the reports but are well known in the industry -- spell out who to pay and what to pay them in order to get the company's records on the air. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,163537,00.html
Unless we all plan on becoming infamous writers in the near future why should it matter if some g33ks are prone to improper grammar and spelling errors?
Love in of itself is just a word, even though it directly implies a feeling, which is defined [confined?] by that word. [Remember, there is no spoon!]
If it so happens that someone treads off the beaten down 'English language' path, does it really matter, as long as that statements message gets across correctly to the reader?

The best solution, for now, would be the implementation of term limits, which you simply will not get from the same people it would affect.
