When I open a page with the video, I see a still image of the video and in its center big play and download buttons. Both are just plain HTML link elements (only after pressing play the still image is replaced by the player object).

It is your responsibility to get it right. If you can't remember everything and don't take notes, you rightfully get negative feedback about it. As for the students: They don't need the ethernet adapter, wireless is omnipresent on campus (or you get a cheap WLAN router for your dorm room). And what would you need the optical drive for? (you can use someone else's drive for installation if you need to and there is certainly no need to carry one around day to day)

The logic of the MS argument escapes me completely. When I define on MY page the font in the stylesheet as Arial or whatever, Vista users will see the text as Arial. So WTF are they talking about?
