    It's was available no RapidShare, and no, writing "were" where it is not needed and not correct does not make your sentence "sophisticated" or "advanced."

    Now for a statement related to the article: How is this new? Illegal content was always more prevalent on standard web sites. P2P was always more of a niche thing, even after BitTorrent and ThePirateBay caught on.

    Flash supports three video formats:

    H.264, VP6, H.263 (Sorenson).

    H.264 and H.263 are the more commonly used formats and are in fact fully open. In fact, you can download the full H.264/MPEGAVC specification from MPEG's website.

    2) Sure Flash supports H.264. It supports the highly crippled (read: useless) Main Profile.

    3) Do you think 40% CPU usage on a Q6600 for 720p (YouTube) at Main Profile is acceptable? The same video would use maybe 5% CPU with CoreAVC and perhaps 8% with ffdshow.

    Paying or otherwise encouraging others (by say viewing ads on their pages and helping them generate revenue) is also a crime. Leeching off of their FTP servers, I guess is up for debate, but visiting a CP web site is certainly criminal since you're encouraging abuse.

    How, pray tell, do you make this leap of logic. Then, by viewing videos of the beating of Rodney King, I am supporting racial violence and murder?

    CDs have no DRM. Any audio CD with any form of copy prevention is non-standard compliant and can not be advertised with the "CD Audio" label.
