Really looks like mark@emarketersamerica.org is the e-mail address at the end of the document that got mangled somewhere along the line. Anyone up for a spamfest?;-)
1) don't use a sound card. In the case of intregrated audio chips, buy a dremel tool 2) Turn off your speakers 3) Cut off your ears. See note regarding dremel tool in 1)
This really brings to mind the question of tariffs and how local and long distance areas work. Speficially related to the VPN connection back to the office...
So you could be in New York using a phone with a Los Angeles local calling area. Or if your company had offices in both locations, could you expand your phone's local calling area to both locations?
How to most inter-office connected phone systems work now?
How does this relate to cell phone local calling patterns?
I just picked up one of these this past Saturday. It's the mp3 player with the best user rating out there. The only issue I might be faced with now is a replacement for the special USB cable that comes with the thing. It's got a funky (and I mean Funky!) connector on the Rio end which I've never seen before! If I ever lose this one or want a second, I might be SOL.
Well let's hope for the best for this innovative company...
I can believe the argument that some might put forward that the single-button mouse is easier for the novice user. This O/S is significantly advanced that is is attracting geeks (myself included, even though it is a dog on my G3). Geeks need buttons on a mouse. Why doesn't Apple even have the option of a multi-buttoned mouse? Scroll wheels have proven INVALUABLE by end users. Apple considers them frivolous? Eccentric? Confusing to the end user?
Bah!
Oh... and I am well-aware that most after-market USB mice work on Macs, but why does Apple not even recognize this issue?
Oh my god... I have to buy one of their computers:
Size MicroATX Processor ARM® compatible INTEL® XScale(TM) 80321 Sound CD quality AC97, 16bit soundblaster standard Unique ID MAC address Address signalling 3.3v Video Resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels in 16 million colours
It's got a Unique ID in the form of a MAC address!

Difficult to do angled walls? You sould like a contractor!;-)
Thanks for the stats! Basically MPEG-4 has been in the works for 7-8 years and it's STILL not finalized. Jeez, maybe we should just hire MS to develop standards! At least they'll get it done!
How old is MPEG-2? How long has MPEG-4 been in development? What are the folks that develop the standards paid by the hour? How many hours are there in the years it's been in development?
We've had DivX for how many years now? Why not just polish it up, get it out there in the hopes that it will take in the marketplace and start work on MPEG-5?
The second problem is UPS protection. If you have a wall-wart plugged into the nearest outlet that provides NO battery back protection. Anyone that runs a real-time accounting program on a LAN knows that you NEED battery backup protection at ALL the data concentration points.
If you want to use a wall-wart, why not use an AA battery? That way when the battery runs out you'll lose 4 connections at once! Yay!
You can! There's a level slope and elevation parameter in the level config file. Just set the slope to 90 degrees and take off! My girlfriend got up to 757km/h once. Here is the screenshot to prove it! Notice there's no ground... hehehe

Coulnd't they have waited? This is just as big a release as kde 2.2.1 in my opinion!
Would this have happened if Gore got into power instead of gun-slinging Bush? Has he really been that bad toward the Saudis/Palestinians/whoever caused this attack?
The Motorola LS550 pager has the IR port as well. It does seen very odd that they would use IR for programming when pin contacts would suffice at a fraction of this cost. Maybe they didn't want loose coins in your pocket accidentally re-programming your pager;)

Yeah, they may be fast until the corrupt your data! Most people don't notice this for an Internet connection, but I sure as hell notice it when using a real-time accounting program with these cheap ass pieces of shit. Avoid realtek at all costs! If we walk into a company and they're using realtek, we won't support them until they fix that problem first!

Yeah, it's just too bad that the CIBC sucks my ass! They are the WORST at customer service. I've seen branches that still have hours from 10am-12am and 1pm to 4pm! WTF kind of piece of shit hours are that? Time and time again, they have proven to me and my friends that they have the absolute worst customer service by unexpectedly putting a 'hold' on their entire account when they deposit a cheque and much more.
Be warned, stear clear of the CIBC!!!!
-Pete
The Canada Trust site works perfectly with IE or netscape or mozilla (wait, not yet...). I wonder if the merger with Toronto Dominion will help your problem? Which online system will they go with? They will have to merge their computer systems at some point in time. Should we start lobbying now? E-mail me if you're interested in circulating a petition.

I believe there is a performance hit when enabling MAC translation. I've not used it so I can't commment on how much of a slowdown there is though.

I've been thinking about organizing some sort of group to express the overall dismay with the @home mail servers. I had the misfortune to speak to a 'tech' again today on the subject and he said that they only consider it a problem if the whole mail server goes down.
Please contact me at pmm42@hotmail.com and let's get the ball rolling.

I think they'll have done their home work. dbExpress is probably going to be very cool. I'm wondering how apps will be packaged and distributed though. How would a stock (haha) Linux workstation get dbExpress onto it? Then I see all sorts of lib issues... ack.

Boy, whoever printed that counterfeit note should really have checked their margins! They're HUGE!

So we'll use wind power to power an airplane?
Ummmmm.....

I personally saw a machine shop do this. I hadn't even considered that metal dust would be such a problem in such an environment.
They made their own case enclosures out of sheet metal with fans and filters. I think they even had a little sealed door for the cd-rom drive.
