Fedor is an unstoppable killing machine I guess the Russians figure Fedora must be an unstoppable OS. What's next? A USA national operating system named Chuck Norris?
I don't agree with people screaming at their employees, taking credit shamelessly and kissing so much ass like the antagonist of todays story did however the not-nice guy did make a case for his job to the management. He feared losing his job and presented a case for himself to upper management.
In my experience if you don't make any noise(good or bad) then nobody knows you're there. I don't think this situation sounds like it had to do with being a nice guy as much as it did being a quiet guy.
On more than one occasion when removing old computers we pulled the drives and destroyed them while donating the old PC's. If you think about it then it's really a no brainer. What's the first thing you do when you get a machine that's come out of no place and been previously used? You snoop around for things.
Apple could probably doctor those videos to insert Justin Long as Mac, maybe do a few minor voice overs and BAM you've got a Mac/PC commercial. Those commercials were horrible.
Even further than that the Windows Vista commercials where they introduce it as the next version to "real people" and show their reaction. Ridiculously bad.
From recent experience I would say probably not.(though it may reduce their sales)
My wife wants both for the sake of wanting to keep the items seperate. She has the nano and likes it because it's small and she can leave it in her designated areas.(such as plugged in to the car or on the patio where she sits)
Is forensic evidence from a non-law enforcement entity worth anything as evidence? Given that in any given office you've got someone capable of re-creating just about any sort of software output what good is it unless it's collected by a government agency?
I would've never thought you could patent a flight pattern. I wonder how many patents I accidentally infringe on in a given day?
I wonder if you could patent "one creme, one sugar" as a coffee mixing technique?
Completely agree with you on that one. I'm often shocked what percentage of the corporate IT people not only lack education but just a general interest in learning anything new.(let alone how to develop) They're like circus monkeys that've been taught how to perform a handful of basic tasks and anything new requires a 12 person meeting where the few actual IT people provide answers.
Not saying that articles shouldn't be posted because they should. However patent issues have created such a muck in software I doubt we'll ever be able to work out all the issues. It's almost unworthy of reporting anything having to do with patent related issues. *please please go away 800 lb patent gorilla in the middle of the room*
Because most people will say they believe the government pisses off a good deal of our money like a drunk in a casino.(or a drunk senator in a casino) You could probably find a story in the news every day of the week about legislators wiping their ass with our tax dollars and throwing them away. Why give them more when they'd have enough if they didn't spend it like a 16 year old teenage girl?
Everyone think back to when you were in high school. What did you have to do in order to get 40 days out? I remember all out fist fight brawls only got us 2 weeks. A guy spit on a teacher and only got five days. We used to write up a big message on the chalkboard mocking one teacher. When someone got caught they got a couple of days in school.
I think in this case the severity of the suspension is directly related to it's press attention. Especially when you consider that this kid appears to be trying to graduate and stay out of trouble due to his record.
There really isn't much left over when you brew beer.(only used up grain) Sugar is completely fermented out and typically all that remains in the fermenter is some yeast.
I guess with these big brewers they have alot of waste from mistakes and protocols for maintaining sanitary conditions? Pretty cool and probably fun way to prevent beer abuse. Don't throw that away!, Put it in the battery.
When I saw this I thought for a moment I remembered seeing someone else had purchased DoubleClick. I was wrong though.
A while back Aprimo snatched up DoubleClick's Enterprise Marketing Solution parts. Aprimo is the top dog in their niche of Enterprise Marketing Management solutions.
Definitely some mad money being thrown around with the selling off of DoubleClick.
Someone needs to figure out how to wire her glorified gerbil wheel to a power generator. For instance using something like this story where this guy tries hooking up his hamster to generate power.
Apparently they're using it to track how the students are performing during class by downloading the information. HIPAA has to come in to play here? http://unioneagle.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3032&Itemid=30

Way to throw down the gauntlet Apple. All you geek squad guys polish up on your Mac knowledge. You'll be repairing a lot more Macs in the near future.
My personal approach is to drink more tequila shots and beer. I always remember more and drive better on a ton of booze.
He can't be paying you that well. Chances are you can get paid more elsewhere. Time to walk.
Looks like they dropped the ball on this one. Usually my most creative moments come about 30 minutes after happy hour ends.

Chuck would totally own the Water Bears in the Space Survival challenge. I bet he wouldn't even tan.
Very cool that Brin is taking the flight. I suppose the financial comparison is something like me splurging on going skydiving.

By about 48 years. Maybe they were refering to the end and not the beginning though?
I guess my mother can write off my brother getting that job this year.

At least for the last 5 minutes since I tried to pull up the page it's been showing the default apache page.
