    Of course, low-end broadband is 2-4 times the speed of dial-up.
    I think most people on Slashdot think broadband isn't based on the connection type, but the speed - in my mind, broadband is 1.5mbps or more. 128-1536k is in an in-between range.

    Well of course not. TPM was designed to make OS X86 unbootable on non-Apple computers, not make Apple computers only able to boot OS X.

    Of course, I just booted OS X86 on my non-Apple box on Tuesday.

    When I was 7 or 8, I got an IQ test. I had an IQ of around 140. As far as I know, I still do - I sure don't feel smarter 7 or so years later, and I get the same standardized-test percentiles every year. I haven't gotten smarter - I've just learned more.

    So maybe genius is applying your natural intelligence to your experiential knowledge?

    The light-rail is noticeably faster, more used, etc. than the buses, but yeah, I think it's mostly a figurehead to get more money to ... build a $2 billion commuter rail line to Elk River?
    There's a reason that 70% of people use MTC because they have no other choice.

    Well, Japanese trains are notorious for their punctuality. Remember the time when that one train derailed itself, crashed into a building, and killed a bunch of people just because it was trying to make up for the fact that it was a minute and a half late?
    Where I live (Twin Cities, MN, USA), up to 10 minutes late is pretty normal for almost every single bus route, and our train line.

    With Gmail, and I think most of the other webmail services (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.), roughly all spam is sent to the spam folder, and I never have to look at it. So how is spam doing any significant "damage" to email? The average person probably wouldn't be annoyed by having a spam filter.
