You might as well go live in a desert. Plenty of land out there and I'm sure the cost of trucking in water would be much less than creating a livable environment under the surface. What you're suggesting would not be worth it unless we actually ran out of surface space.
I think you run into issues when you start thinking about non-coding problems from a coding perspective. The universe doesn't behave like a computer as much as you might like it to.
Yeah I probably should of said that this is the problem with journalism in general. Writing well researched objective pieces is the exception rather than the rule.

While I'll agree with you, I'd like to point out that many intersections operate by using switches underneath the road that detect the weight of a car in order to trigger the intersection. I've ridden up at some intersections without a car and had to move to the sidewalk simply because I couldn't trigger the switch and there were no cars on my side.
Ha! Yeah right. I go to a huge university (Ohio State) and this is certainly NOT the case. We have papers due in hardcopy format and printing is about 3 cents a page, I believe.
I've used pirated WoW servers before and it makes me ask the question... where on earth do these pirate servers get WoW server software??? I would think Blizzard would protect this software pretty well.
Either you're older than the current generation that's been raised on text messages or you're naive for some reason. This happens all the time among people I know. (I'm 20.) I've actually did it a few times myself before I realized what a stupid move it is. It's like reading a book while driving, you can't look at two things at once.
In-flight wifi, on the other hand, sounds far more promising. I can imagine it being used for some really awesome things, like movie rentals that work directly with your laptop.
I can't imagine the bandwidth on a plane to be high enough for streaming video for many users at once. I can't see this happening for a while.
For me it was the first of the Tony Hawk series for N64. Of course, I got extremely sick of the Goldfinger song after a while, but it was a decent soundtrack nonetheless.
I'm pretty sure they're legally obligated to do so.
Too bad the world isn't like Minecraft. :-(

That's the problem with the online journalism unfortunately.
Good for old people I suppose.

What the hell does a sea unicorn have to do with $5.00/case frat boy beer?
You've been out of the game for a while if you think a case of Natty is $5.00. It runs about $12-13 for a 30 case these days.
They were picking up bodies, not weapons.

I'm not sure what major you were in, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't engineering.

Ok, have a nap... then fire ze missles!
Can anyone tell me why google maps does not work for me with firefox?
Agreed. Halo is basically the same thing every time, but some people will still play consistently for months at a time.
I think it's funny that everyone freaks out about what to call these hackers instead of what they're actually doing or not doing.
This is an EX-PARROT!!!
