Is Origami just for paper?

Or could there be and real benafits from folding thin sheet metal using origami techniques, to create an attractive and unually strong structure??
An example would be say a fence with gates.
Imagine how attractive it would be and how resistant to things like strong winds it would be.. you could design it to flex and even bend but to never break, tear or snap..
Its just an "out of box" thought..
Mind you it would be terribly wastefull of materials..
Mostly because I'm incharge or all things that plug in.. and some that don't (IE PABX, Mobile Phones, Photocopiers, Servers, Desktops, Network, Wireless, Planning, Budgeting, and the HelpDesk Lad..).
Because the industry doesn't understand what that title means, I call myself IT Administrator or Manager, depending on the situation..
I've been waiting for the 5.1 version of these to come out..
The loudest/clearest set of PC speakers I've ever heard.. utterly brilliant..

Because the law was broken by the law makers to convict him. Because he has some very well researched and refined social engineering skills. Because some of us/. er's think his punishment for crimes that involved very little damage and/or loss to any company/persons go beyond "Cruel and unusual".
Just to be clear on this.. I wasn't having a go at you personally.. you seem to have your head screwed on and a pretty capable bloke... but it just seems that/. has lost its focus of late.. and it seemed like a pointless article..

I don't understand why a "paper" like The Age would interview a guy like this.. and then for/. to post it../. seems to be losing its edge these days.. its sad.. I've been a reader for a long long time...
My guess is that they will have to drop any backward compatability with the older playstaion consoles when the produce the new model without the "playstation" name tag...

We, Like most other companies around the world.. will only do this when we HAVE TO.
When someone legislates us into submission then we'll get off our arse and do the right thing..

We are replacing our netwrok printers with networked photocopiers, the outright cost is a heap more but in the long run its much much cheaper..
Gives me a chance to consolidate all those "extra" things like scanners and small deskjets..

If the /.ed state of the server is anything to go by.. We just sit around /. all day and bring down servers collectivly..
