    Donâ(TM)t throw the baby out with the bathwater, you can use ftp over tls ( goes by many names) . I dobâ(TM)r see any reson to kill of ftp (well the unencryptet version needs to go) it works perfectly eell for what it is intended to do

    No firewall needed, just compell sll eu ISPs to drop their bgp sessions with googels cdn (ehm in fact the only ones you need to compell is the excabng point operatos and you don’t even need to drop sessions, which would alert googel the sane second, just filter the prefixes comming from that peer)

    IChannel level can be a knob but it's better as a slider. FX returns are usually knobs and would feel awkward as sliders.

    Hmm your logic escapes me, or I may be looking at things ass backwards, but an fx return is an input to the whitch ever mix you route it to, so why nor have the save controll ro ajust the level as any other input channel, what am I missing here?

  8. Hold on you switched to fiber from what, And got incresed latency, what gives? A few people I know swithed from adsl2+iirc to fiber and went from about 20ms on the hop berweem them and the first router at their isp, to less then 10ms to a location 100 to 200 km away. So unless the fiber deployment you are on is horrably oversubscribed or some one must have screwd up. On the other hand, did you do these tests fom a devivr connected via wi-fi or wiered?

    Ok I want to play stupid for a secong. Does hulu/nerflixes tos allow you tonsvare your login with non famuly/relatives outside your house hold ( other permanent residence address)? Personaly i doupt it so you are douinf de equivalent of yusing a cracked caple stb card (remember those) , I`m not passong sny judgement jost pointing out that you are comparing apples and oranges, how would the math work out if you sctuslly had to pay fullmprice for all those services? If I am wrong about the tos please correct me, as for some reason I cant find the us tos frow norway, without jumping thuna few hoops rhat I`m not inerestin in jumping thru right now. I do not own sny shares in Eiter streaming services or cable/satelite providdrs, don`t work for one so Iådo not hawe any conflucts of interest in this matter

  16. Well you mght be right about gamers not seting software freedum high on there kist of prioreties. But unfortunetly that allso describes a rather large majorety off all computer user, why? Well mostly doftware, snd the harware that runs it is just a means to an dnd. (Be it fragging some enimies at 60+fps wit ulta max setings at 1440p or editing your latest masterpeace video about something), so wat gets the job done with a bin ammount of fuss wins. Say binare blob to most pople (even most gamers i suspect) and you are lighttly to get a blank stare. I admit the binary blobs are a problem esp when it comes to linux support, but how can it be xolved when Nvidia and AMD licence 3d party rechnologu they are not allowed to let anyone see. We would all love to see full specs and full documentation of evryrhing in an ideal world, but unfortunatly we must live in the real world wher IP and contracts rule. We culd all kickstart a project to getban opensorce equivalent of the gtx1080ti designed, tested, fully documented and built, but am i ruight in saying once we where done ( and had it checked for any un intentional oatent/IP violations) it would probably be hoplessly out of date, and beond the originsl backers there would be little to no innterest

    Well, or you culd say tjat at current service levels(for the school busses) the school district (they pey for the scholl bus costs right) now has$5M more to use on teachers/books/buliduings etc. Yes I agree itt is rather unfortunate for the drivers that gets pink slips, but I think you agree that the main purpos of a school systenm is to educate not to transort, so the re alocation of resources this enables well help the scools do their job better, Ther is of corse the chance that scumbag bolititions will fire the drivers and sa great $5M saved time to call it a day and be the hero at the next budget neating

    And wit a dual fregencu Galileo reciver you will get down to 1m (3.3 ft) accuracy once all ther sattelites are up and operational in 2020. I`m not certain about how jammable they are, but if that is a concern get yhe comercial service which will provide integrety warnings, so at least you know when solutions can`t be trusted

    Hmm Iâ(TM)m not into vrcTvall but can you pleace explain to me why wr tequers 90 fps whil normal gaming is fine at 60, unless you mean total framerate (ie nomber fof ftames per second leaving the gpu), but the the question becomes why does VR only require 45 fps/eye. I must read um on vr but wat makes sence ro me is thT if you do traditional gaming at 60fps then you would need VR to be 120fps ie 60/fps/eye. Or are vi hitting the, vidion has some overlap so part of one the frame from one eye can allso be desplayde to the other, thus only needs ro be rebdered once hmm

  24. Whmm last ai checked ethernet outside enrerprise/ data center/ metro ethernet kind of stopped at 1Gbps, 10Gbps is still kind of exspensive and beond 10Gbps is still rather a significan invesrment for a few ports but I might be wrong so corrections a aprecuated

  25. Oh yea good old po, well not s good, I deffenetly do not miss poopp, but a local imap cliant, is a nice thing to have, I actually prefere thunderbird to gmails ui. I can`t remember tha mast time I used pop (it must have been late 1990s when my then ISP was draging their feet on imap rollout and rheir web msil eas absolutly horrid)
