I would assume the 787 design is essentially finished, which I assume means a big reduction in engineering. Is there anything else in the pipeline, or has commercial aircraft design become too expensive? Hire & fire is nothing new in aerospace.
Yep. I just bought a used 2015 Leaf (base model with quick charger) @ 19k miles for $8,500. Can't beat that. I love the car and have not pumped gas in 3 months.
Plenty of Leafs coming off two year leases. This is a 3rd car in a 2 car household; I now just drive my truck a few miles very other week. In 5 years when my kid can drive it can be hers.
Tesla will do well because of the direct sales. No shit-scum car dealers to deal with. My next new one will be Tesla simply so I don't have to deal with the shit-scum.
I like my base model Leaf because it doesn't have a bunch of tech. The fanciest thing is an LCD display for the radio that functions as a backup camera. No nav system, etc. Just a basic electric car. Sadly I'm probably in the minority as everyone nowadays wan'ts whiz-bang bullshit touchscreens instead of a simple, car.
Uh, memories. Though I remember the 1st full 32 bit program I had was Comanche helicopter simulator. No fucking with DOS or memory. Just boot off a floppy. Pretty amazing game.
So they'd rather NOT keep spare parts at the factory for a robot that can shutdown an assembly line for 8 hours? Fucking bean counter logic. How about keep a whole spare robot, or two.
Case in point. Millennial Hipster (MH) leases hip loft in KC, MO. That's good until your kid is in the unaccredited, crime ridden KCMO school district. MH then flees to Johnson County, KS suburbs with good schools. MH still wants urban dwelling so now these massive, mixed use developments are being built. MH only stays in KC, MO if he can afford $26k year private schooling.
Back in the early 90's on channel 50 in DC, they'd show Bizarre which had fully exposed boobs. This was after 12 PM. Mid 80's was Super TV which was scrambled, but you could still make out the porn.
Now what were the parasites in ST TOS that could only be killed with strong sunlight? Spock had the extra eyelids, then Bones figured out only UV was needed.
I only wish. My home PC runs fine. The one at work is a dog, despite being brand new dual Xeon. Corporate IT has a way of destroying anything.
Arabic will soon be the official language of Europe.
There was a well over $1B steel rolling plant built recently in the US that employs 28 workers over 3 shifts.
Mod you up if I had points. Time to remove the Silicon from SV, maybe replace it with Silicone.
Anybody remember Cecil Jacobson, using his own sperm at the fertility clinic https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wik...

Presently I cab buy 10 lightly used Leafs for the price of a Tesla, or 4 for the price of a Bolt. A used Leaf is the ideal way to ease into an EV.

Wasn't it something like XComm? I had that too. It was awesome being able to download from a BBS at 14.4k in the background while playing Wolfenstein.
Big Ear Two (John Kraus) about antennas and radio astronomy The Hardware Hacker (Bunny) Asimov on Numbers
Ha ha, I had a friend in HS who cut the DON'T off his DON'T DO DRUGS bumper sticker.
Only if LSD is the sacrament.

Millennials are having kids and figuring out the school systems in the cities are generally horrible, thus the flight to the suburbs.

Islamic terrorism is OK with these companies, otherwise they would have pulled long ago. Can't offend the religion of peace.

True that. Any neighborhood with shade trees and non LOS to a tall, central structure and kiss mmWave goodbye.
You forgot the islamophobia, transphobia, and questioningphobia.
The baggage scanners use some sort of high powered x-ray back-scatter that can detect explosives.
TFA says the exploit can be used remotely "thousands of miles away". So which is it? Local or remote? The article contradicts itself.
