    I'm 6'5" and used to pre-board on SW. The gate attendant suggested that, and said they will let those 6'3" and over preboard. Worked great until the policy changed that does not allow pre boards to sit in exit rows. It's still useful for getting the 1st row bulkhead seat.

  9. Yeah, but the 0.1% have their cars fixed at home. I often see this big truck with Maserati, RR, etc symbols in it pulling into this high $ gated community. It's only the HOA snobs that think they are rich, that enforce those rules.

  15. I actually wish there was a modern dot matrix printer. Being able to print only a few lines, then tear off a short length of paper, would be nice. How about a non-inkjet color printer that doesn't cost an arm and a leg in supplies?

    I actually did have someone recognize my Maxwells equations shirt, in an airport. To be fair though, I was coming back from the IEEE IMS, so thousands of RF engineers in one area.

    Ought to have mentioned Heaviside, as Maxwells four equations in differential form are a product of Heaviside. He is also responsible for coaxial cable, the Laplace transform, and many other things. Heaviside made Maxwells equations practical.

    Hell, mine only applies "overtime" (not real overtime, but straight time) for hours 46 through 59, and that's only for certain projects. Once you hit 60 there is nothing.

  20. I dunno. My yearly salary as an EE is 3x what my entire undergrad education cost; grad school was free. I know this is anecdotal, and I graduated 20 years ago, but it has certainly been a worthwhile investment.

    Not to mention there is probably not a trace of olive oil in typical American chain pizza. They also look at you funny if you want anchovies. I like Spin Pizza myself.

    Seems though that poor people eat mostly carbs. Spaghetti is cheap and filling, and tastier with greasy meat sauce. Ditto for rice and potatoes.
