He asks questions they may or may not expect a bit, but really it's a very laid back interview. Much like other news shows. However he does tend to ask questions that are more the type to show that the guests are human beings and not just polititians with a hand up thier ass. If he actually asked really hard questions they'd likely get far fewer guests. Why do you think Bush broke down and picked FOX when he finally decided to interview with someone when his poll numbers were in the shitter? Because FOX wasn't going to ask him anything you couldn't learn from a press release.

It is fairly obvious though that you watch FOX news however since the term, "softball interviewed Kerry" was coined by O'Riley I believe who is a schmuck.

I hear you completely on what your saying. I've been starting up my own little consulting buisness and mostly having to go through startup pains of, "damn it's a bitch to get clients." Mainly I stick to real-estate agents, old ladies, non-profits, and buisnesses that want an IT person on call, but not someone who hounds them is attempting to lock them into a contract. The best thing on Earth you can do imo is kiss some ass, network, do good work for people who are likely to tell others about you (hence non-profits). From there things just spread. Word of mouth is better than any marketing imo.

Once you reach a critical point of where you are close to having scheduling issues you bring your pricing up. I started out at $30 an hour to get things off the ground, at $40 an hour now (2 hour minimum), and as my "free time" become a more rare commodity I bring the price up more. You lose clients in the process for sure, but you end up makeing the same once things level out. Once they do you can decide as to if you want to get more clients or ustilize your free time. Heck if you have friends doing the same throw them a bone and give the client their number if their price is within thier range. The client is usualy still happy and you end up with a friend who owes you at the very least a dinner ;-)

And for gods sake...you don't want to look like a "geek" wearing a T-Shirt & jeans when your out meeting potential or even regular clients. Your projecting yourself as a buisnessowner essentialy. You have to look like you could at least impersonate one. You have to spend a little bit of money to make money as the saying goes. Me I won't go uptight (white shirt & slacks), but something that looks good on you. You do want to stand out a little. Next time you see someone who owns buisness thats successful look at how they dress. They generaly don't dress like those around them. You can be a geek. You just aren't allowed to look like one.

The Greenpeace article is a complete sham. Greenpeace's article had the investigative quality of a shitty High School English paper. It was discussed when it first came up that the whole thing was just taken from each companies website without actually contacting anyone within the company for specifics. Dell & Nokia are the best documented in these repects since both really have nothing better to do while a company like Apple really never thought to make up a sheet on thier environmental concerns. They have been too buisy making new products to think about it.

Not to mention anyone whos bought more than just an iPod can tell you that Apple computers last far longer than anything Dell or Nokia makes. Not to mention Apple's packaging has been far more recyclable and smaller than Dells. Sounds like your too concious about other people than yourself to be worried about what others are using to listen to music on the bus. I'm personaly game for Apple however making thier stuff smaller while doing incramental upgrades. Reason everyone jumps on something like video playback is because Apple ends up making it a standard item. When you own over 50% of the market whatever you do IS the standard. Until then it's not. Yes others do things often before Apple (Archos), but thier players were far too big for mass acceptance, had bad battery life, or other short-comings and as such the technology just wasn't ready. Remeber this about the Zune when it comes out. Hows it's battery life, hows it handle those Play for Sure files that don't work, it's interface, how big is it, etc.
