      This is just a old transportation with a new spin. It's not an automated cab. it's just a smaller train.

    Cabs do curb side service from your current location to your destination. Besides, I am glad cab drivers are safe and able to keep their jobs.

      Apple Computer is NOT an upstart. Hell, Apple started the home personal computer. Though, some may argue that issue.

    Google is an upstart company. They are relatively new and have large sums of cash. Apple has alot of cash on hand but they have been around awhile.

    Many people love Apple's startup chime. Some even look forward to it.

    It's simple. Release World of Starcraft. Starcraft still has people playing. The only reason why WoW did really good is because Warcraft has the same cult following. A World of Starcraft would beat WoW because Starcraft is way better then Warcraft.

      What is your dream operating system?

    Personally, I want a computer that can respond to voice commands. Not just through microphone but also through the cellphone from a remote location. I could tell the computer to turn house lights on from block away or download lastest /. articles before I am home. But also make it so I wouldn't have to use a keyboard or mouse at all.

    And I still don't know why AOL insists in using IE browser in all it's software. They own Netscape and they don't even use it in AOL software.

    The article forgets to tell us WHAT KIND OF LED? I highly doubt it is an actual LED since they are to big. If it's fully integrated into the fabric then it could be a Organic LED or PLED (polymer led).

      The guy does have some interesting points. And I know that the Linux desktop community does need to change and adapt. I'm not saying we have to pay for Linux. I am saying there is a change needed.

    Linux should be under it's own License and not GPL.

    Linux needs a Foundation whose sole purpose is to acquire the licenses needed to propel it onto the desktop more rapidly. It will be supported by corporate grants, linux community, and finally donations from the companies profiting off the Linux kernel.

    And why would someone buy a safe that needs a key? The only safe I would use is Code and Finger Enabled Magnetic lock with backup Internal DeadBolt.

    2. Repay any damages to his victums. Damages includes cost of removal of spam.
    3. Volunteer as a spam watcher for an ISP for 6 months.

    These are actually legal punishments. Spammer can be held liable for costs of removing the spam.

      They are in debt and are spending to much. They don't have any money. They spend 19 billion and only bring in 17 billion. The Republic of Croatia is looking to cut expenses. Though, it should be easier to cut 2 billion in expenses compared to 200 billion USA needs to cut.

    And in case if any slashdotters wants to move there.

    Croatia has GDP of $35 billion and $11,000 per capita. Unemployment is 18% compared to USA's 4.6%. Croatia is also mostly Catholic with only 1.3% is muslim as of 2001.

      Why do musicans even need publishers? Why don't they join digital wagon and make use of it? How hard could it be to deal directly with Apple and Napster to form agreements. The world doesn't need record companies anymore. What the world needs is musicans who are willing to step out on their own.
