I am a representative of Prince Mojumbiquo Atolulu. He is currently in your country and is having troubles transferring money to buy a palace because identity got h4x0r3d. We trust you so much that we would like you to help us get his money to him. He is currently try to buy a palace for $100,000,000.00 and we would like to give you 10% of that for help us. It will just require j00 to transfer $10,000 to us to cover our costs and then you will have your money shortly.
Please respond quickly. He will only be able to stay at Motel 6 for 5 more days before you luck run out and you get hit by bus.
My argument for the iPod over others is the actual controls that get you through the menus. The other players that I had tried out all seemed to have some weird quirks to them that I either didn't like or didn't think would be intuitive to someone who does not have a technical background.
You can have the most beautiful navigation menus in the world, but it doesn't do anything for you if you can't control them. For all of you who would like an analogy: A ship may have extremely calm waters to go through, but it's not going to get anywhere if the captain can't figure out how to control the vessel.
Really, this is Ticketmaster wanting to cash in on scalping by calling it an auction. Well, Ticketmaster, if you want to do that why don't you go ahead and allow anyone to "auction" tickets off for any price in any state. You can help "the little scalper" by lobbying to get these laws removed. I wonder if these "auctions" are legal in the states that require you to sell the ticket at or below face value. Oh yeah, Ticketmaster prints the tickets so they can put whatever face value they want on them. Hey Ticketmaster, if you don't want to be hypocrites sell tickets with little blanks on them so that scalpers can assign the face value too. That sounds fair to me. That way ticket prices will be really high for good performances and really low for bad ones. Then let's go a step further and auction all of the tickets off for a starting price that covers the artist and some costs. Maybe then some of the boy band and bubble gum pop tickets would go for a few weeks of a kid's allowance. Maybe that would help reduce the crap that is coming out.
Maybe if the record companies and other officials that are setting up tours should take a look at the ticket prices. This article doesn't really concern me because it has always seemed like the front row tickets were near impossible to get anyways since band members, radio stations, and other places are sometimes allowed those tickets. I think the prices in general have gotten out of hand. I remember paying $30 including fees to see some shows. If I remember correctly, I think I paid $40 for Warped Tour AND Ozzfest combined and I believe Ozzfest alone was around $35. I also remember paying about that for the 1 day Lollapalooza. I know that there are probably a lot more costs associated with concerts these days with all of the newer light show setups but did they ever think that maybe if a band was actually good that they may not need as many new-fangled do-hickeys to get Johnny A.D.D. to pay attention to the whole show!?
Exactly! I wish that Americans would possibly take a second look at companies such as SAP or ATI but they simply don't because of this stigma. If we got this out of our heads these small companies might finally have a chance to be strong competitors in the marketplace.
I want to know who is researching the plausibility of a pig flight enablement device. The could call it Project Pig FED. Then, my friends, we will be able to cash in on all of the "when pigs can fly statements." This would be a wonderful day for people who have been turned down all over the world. Think of all of the dates and hook-ups that will be happening. The only problem would be that the lawyers might get a little busy with all of the hubbub.
I'm sorry but sex slave LEGO-bots do not sound pleasurable to me... Think of all of the edges and pieces that could easily crunch together and catch something. Ouch! Maybe if they were Duplos!
In my experience, Netflix has had a much larger selection of titles as well as a greater number of obscure titles. I don't recall what movie I was trying to get from Blockbuster but it was seemingly impossible to get it because of its obscurity. On Netflix, I got it right away. I also recall that Netflix has a lot more of the Season sets for Television shows.
I found that to be a great deal as well. However, I also found that some months I really didn't feel like I needed any more movies than the ones that I got online (and that was when they only gave out 1 rental a month). I've since switched to Netflix because I didn't want to pay $17.99 for the 4 extra movies when I hardly need more than 2 at a time and don't necessarily need the in-store movies. I would guess that the vast majority of people are probably in the same boat.
I guess the way I see it, here is your decision:
Do you watch 3 or more movies a month?
If Yes, continue...
If No, just go to the movie store...
Do you need to get a movie at any time on a whim as long as you're alright with driving to the movie store and paying a little extra?
If Yes, Blockbuster Online is probably better for you.
If No, Netflix is probably better for you. Be patient grasshoppa.
Other considerations
I have had better luck getting working discs from Netflix
The friends recommendation system is pretty nice on Netflix (I don't recall if BBO had this)
You may set up individual family member queues on Netflix
Too late... I've had them blacklisted for years. I've had too many people that I know purchase a D-Link and they have had repeated problems with them. Fortunately for them, they still had time to take them back to the store.
Well, if Microsoft Live actually worked correctly in Firefox, maybe I'd try it more. But the inability to close their pop-outs is pretty silly. Hence, if they can't get browser interoperability in there, they've lost me. Even though I could just open an IE window.
Yeah, but when I get repeated calls to my home phone at various hours of the day and night that are random spoofed numbers I have a problem with it. Luckily, the call frequency has gone down but it sucks. Yeah, I know I can change my number but then I might just run into an old pizza delivery number or someones' ex...:) Besides, changing a home phone always ends up being an annoying call-everyone-you-know process.
I thought this was going to be some kind of article about how watching pr0n in your car might create traffic jams and then I found out that there wasn't really anything that I could laugh about here. Move along people. There's nothing to see here.
I'd be interested to see what their profit margins look like with online music services as opposed to CDs. This article pretty much confirms what I've been thinking for a while. I'm thinking that CDs are going to become the bastard child to the RIAA. They have to purchase materials to stamp, pay the people to stamp the CDs, reproduce the artwork and lyrics (if applicable), ship the things, and then I'm sure they worry that people sell them to others which further cuts into potential profits.
[sarcasm]Shame on you for backing up your music! How DARE YOU! It's only $10 (if you're lucky).[/sarcasm]
They obviously expect people to misunderstand the concept of multiplication.
Somehow I thought this would have something to do with a ninja's sword.
Yeah!!! I want a new war in Iowa!
Wait a second! What's wrong with Iowa? No, no, please no new war in Iowa.
Yes, your answer is:
generate enough revenue to pay for itself.
(at least I hope not... God help us all if it does)

Do we have any functionality to mod a moderation? I want to mod this "Insightful" score as "Funny."
I need a record player for my car. Was it hard to install? Do they have changers? Please advise.
You missed the point... I think they are trying to get the fake ones to move naturally.

I see you're writing a suicide note, take a look at these great offers!

I'm glad to see Gallery on the list again. It is a great package for photo management.
:(
I'd love to see the Picasa module work better. I'd love to work on it myself but unfortunately don't have the time.

Grrrr...
Can we trust OURSELVES!??!?!!?
Dun Dun Daaaaaahhhh!!!
FUD... Keep the logging turned off...
I must've been living under a rock. I didn't realize that the iPod was dead or dying. We better check with Steve Jobs on that one.
