You can plug a mouse into the PS3 and at the very least the OS responds to it. I'm not sure how many titles do, though... but is sure ain't Sony's fault for not supporting a mouse.
I'd like to know how the fuck school officials are allowed to discipline students for activities not relating to school. That's the realm of police, is it not? You got together with friends to party? Nothing to do with school.
What the hell, man? I've asked before and I ask again: what the hell gives schools such a wide bullshit jurisdiction?
Except how shitty the game responded to the Wii-mote. Turning? Nope, you're pointing off the screen, so you must not be trying to turn at all. I'll just leave you there halfway through your turn, to get hit by that boss, and then let you wait a second or two once you are pointing at that screen again.
I tried all sensitivities and it was still a pain on all of them.
As a 60 GB PS3 owner, I can say that of the few PS2 games I've tried with the PS3 (since I have a PS2 HDD, a Wii, and less time on my hands now that I've out of college), I've not noticed and bad graphics for PS2 games on the PS3. They look... the same. Possibly a little better. The only problem is that I have to keep switching my TV between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios, but there's this magic little button on my remote that does that for me. Those might be the scaling issues, I dunno.
Just sayin' I've not noticed any problems on any of the games I've tried.
don't get me started on digital cable vs analog
THANK YOU!
Most people I know can't even see the block distortion that comes with digital TV, or just don't understand it. Personally, it drives me bat-shit crazy.
Digital just isn't necessarily the best way to go...
Why the hell would I work extra unpaid hours (salary, not hourly) unless there was a real, tangible benefit? Maybe I'm just lazy, but there's more to life than just work.
That said, I will work extra if the company *really* needs it, but only to a point.
Windows 2000 was probably the most stable of the user OS's I've seen Microsoft roll out. XP, sure it has a firewall and all, but the only thing I like about XP over 2000 -- the ONLY THING -- is the integration of browsing into a *.zip file. That's it. The install is four times as big and just as stable. I really never saw the need to buy XP, ever. Work environments have been my main source of exposure to it.
"Soloway will face a maximum sentence of more than 65 years in prison and a fine of 250,000 dollars"
Honestly, I think this is one of the only places in US law where punishment is close to the crime. $250,000 fine? I don't think it's high ENOUGH, considering how many people this guy has (in)directly pissed off. But then, I can get the same damn fine for burning a DVD (but only 5 years in the slammer, but let's face it: once you're in, even when you get out you're fucked).
And you can even communicate with your dead father in the past about the world series, save some nurses and watch a guy's arm dissolve through time! See: Frequency [IMDB]
I have to ponder why they spent so much time developing FF 12, and yet it was a bomb -- not in sales, mind you (it's a Final Fantasy for Christ's sake, it WILL SELL), but in plot. Final Fantasy is notorious for having a good plot and/or a good game system. 1 was bland, but by today's standards what can you expect? 2 was awful, but had a really fun battle/leveling system. 3 introduced jobs, even though the plot seemed nonexistent. Then four through, oh, let's say ten had story. And gameplay. They were FUN. Now I bought up 12 at the midnight release, ready to eat it up like, uh, a fat kid and food, and then I found... an MMO. A single-player MMO. And it isn't just me; everyone I know complains about the same thing: FF12 is a dungeon crawl, and not a very good one at that. There's no captivating plot, the characters are all secondary to the game; FF12 is hardly a FF at all.
So why'd 12 go so wrong? "Study long, study wrong?" I wish I knew, but after this, I am not going for the next one nearly as fast as I have for the past FF titles.
Disclaimer: this is opinion, not fact. I didn't feel the game, you might have loved it. Just 'cause my friends (imaginary and not) didn't like it doesn't mean I think nobody liked it. Etc. Etc. Etc., not trying to troll; just curious as to what people think

Look at the former profession of many in congress... congress IS lawyers.

Obligatory "Flying Spaghetti Monster" pirates/global warming reference. Correlation does not prove causality.

Prime III's control scheme wasn't all that great.
Me.
I was calling it as long as I can remember. I just wish I had money (damned college) to invest in Nintendo before the launch of the Wii...

How about Star Trek: Armada? That was damned good.
I agree, and I'm quite surprised to see the first of these sentiments so far down the page.

I'm a 22-year old, I value my personal time.

"unexplained absences"
It's called gypping, hookie, a hangover, apathy, lack of motivation or more interesting things to do.
As an American, I say that the Unites States of America is turning into a Union of Dumb-fucks.

Funny, I work with a guy who did the exact opposite.
Ditto. It is an uphill battle for me to find the time for OSS... hell, even for drawing a damned rectangle to my PSP screen.
I was visiting Madison and I, also, heard nothing of this.
'Course ya don't pay to much attention to news when you check into a crummy hotel at 11:30 PM.

That Mel Brooks... he's a funny guy (actually my favorite comic writer, for some whacky reason -- I can recite Spaceballs from memory).
