I would have to say that the WW2 sim Brothers in Arms had some of the best AI Ive come across. Being a fast paced, life or death war game, the movements of the AI are supposed to be quite twitchy, but even so, almost convinced me that these people beside me that were shooting at those people over there, were actually people. Add in realistic movements like looking around corners, popping heads over walls, running crouched while holding ones helmet, all adds to a very believable experiance.
What I would suggest however, is to start modelling the response time of actualy humans. I think its around 0.2 seconds? And only then start thinking about how to react to a situation.
This point has been raised again and again on the eve-online forums - the Amarr races ships are subpar. They dont even do what the overall race description says - namely, have massive armor, and devastating lasers. They have armor about as good as any other race, specifically Gallante, and lasers just dont cut it in PVP. Their ships are rather inflexible, and that would be fine, so long as they are little more than reactor cores surrounded by many metres of armor plating and omgwtf lasers. They dont have many EW options, considering the state of their mid slots, and the need to fill them with cap rechargers just to run their guns and armor without dying a capacitor death.
Also, in regards to the bonuses given to the ships: It has been pointed out that the -10% cap usage per battleship level is a horribly nasty thing to give to Amarr ships. Where every other race gets 2 useful bonuses, Amarr get 1 that lets them use lasers without cap death. Fun.
In short, Amarr have no niche in PVP. They are only barely competitive, where every other race has an advantage in some aspect. Why is this, when they are supposed to be the most warlike, ancient, and effective race in EVE?
the very fact that we are exploring ways to live on multiple planets proves that we are also preprogrammed to survive. a races survival odds are GREATLY increased by colonising another planet.
Energy generation needs to be localised. Everyone needs to be aware of their usage, control it, and take on the responsibility of generating it themselves, be it photovoltaic, wind turbine, or micro hydro.
...but renewable energy doesnt need to cost millions. Solar panels are still a ways off in terms of cost-effectiveness, but if you have access to a moving body of water, a simple micro-hydroelectric generator can be made from a Fisher & Paykel Smart-Drive washing machine motor and a turbine. This also works anywhere rotational energy needs to be converted into 3-phase AC, such as windmills, and can be made for very little, provided youre decent at soldering (and who isnt round here?). The only costly aspect would be the turbine, but this still costs far less than $500,000!

i get the feeling that itll be in the northern hemisphere, but in case it is in the southern, itd be nice to know. not that it could be seen, i know, just for the cool factor "hey, see that? its part of another galaxy." thing. the ladies love that shizzle.
thats some hot shit right there, cheers for the link!
This could all be solved fairly easily....

...if the patent office would actually go out and check to see if the patent is vapourware or not, rather than just blindly accept that the person has created whatever it is.
s/bad Geiger counter/marijuana
a short and somewhat uninspiring clip of the display in action... no pyramids here tho. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He2QTpelAjE
...window translucency for XP. thats the only thing that attracted me to vista, as i would just use litestep on it anyway.
isnt this more akin to the current political climate?
I wouldnt call Second Life players especially talented
It would asplode in linux/macOS flavoured glory! Victory will be ours comrades, one Vistabox at a time!

So, France takes the waste, extracts everything good from it, and sends it strait back? Why does the Netherlands and others still do this?
Hey man, don't bring my favorite hobby into this :(
That'll teach me to not follow links before I post them. Its not actually at that host.
However, http://wiki.litestep.com/Modules:LSLua will explain how its used, which is probably all you want anyway.
The freeware windows shell, Litestep, now has a lua scripting module to do those tasks that you could probably have done before, but way faster.
http://www.shellfront.org/modules-list.php can provide you with the module, for those that are interested.
Another server brought to its knees, crying. Well done slashdot!
I have a Voodoo2 right here in a box, waiting for me to build some poor underspec'd PC for some 90's nostalgia.. best video card EVER!
So, they want to build a colony on the moon. But to do that, they have to build a colony. Wha? No, Im not really that dumb.
so, who would like to begin the debate as to if this gives evidence of evolution in action? (and likewise, who wants to be first to disagree?)
The worlds tiniest power supply.... .umm .hrm
...nope, i got nothing.
The worlds tiniest violin....
My girlfriend telling me i dont have the worlds tiniest penis...

this baffles me, as i have noticed no difference between my nvidia and ati cards, except for the greater clarity and image quality on ati.
