When Bill ran in the 90's there were multiple rumors of voter fraud. Many residents of non-decisive states voted in an adjacent swing state claiming simply "I plan to move here within the next year." I live near Chicago and you can see during Presidential elections that busses full of homeless were provided money and food for their vote.
Worst thing for Obama was for Hillary to lose Iowa. Now her husband is pulling out every dirty trick in his arsenal.
Now shameless plug time. Want a candidate who won't change his views just to trick you out of your vote? Want someone with national security experience along with multiple terms in Congress? Fred08.com
"Next gen isn't current gen until the current gen dies, and my PS2 is still kicking."
I have exponentially more titles I still play on NES compared to my PS2. Is PS2 "next gen" still?
"Give folks a *solid* 2D fighter"
Why? There isn't enough market to justify the cost. Fighting games have become a niche market since the death of the arcade. They are too twitchy to perform well over the Internet, it is boring against the AI, and it is hard to find competitive matches among friends. "Another is JRPGs."
Take out Final Fantasy and you won't see many JRPGs in the list of best selling video games. "The way things are now are good enough for the 360, but I would rather see less of a total saturation of shooters and rubbish racing games and a bit more diversity in the upcoming game lineup."
Sports, shooters, and racing dominate console sales. In the end, companies are looking to make profit, not necesarily new innovative games. Nintendo took a huge risk with the Wii and it paid off, hopefully proving to the powers at be that Sports/Shooters/Racing aren't the only sellers.
Calling someone a "zealot" for not wanting to kill babies for research is a bit much. I'm not religious whatsoever, but I'm still morally against it.
This is also not a step towards human cloning. We've had access to stem cells before, and some scientists have been progressing towards this goal for awhile. This will not progress them much.
This is a step towards mass producing these cells for the purpose of cloning individual organs for patients requiring transplants.
-1: I want to punch you in the face. I fought for the rights of every man, woman, and child in my country and every man, woman, and child in the world.
I love my country and those who help lead it, despite the fact I don't agree with many of them. I know where I have been, and I know that I have helped those in need.
You are just a little weasel who doesn't appreciate the sacrifices those before you have made. Regardless, I still fought to give you a better life also.
This is one reason why the PS2 has sold more machines than any other console. The PS2 consistently breaks down a few years after (usually the laser on the DVD drive).
Most of these customers had a solid PS2 library already and had to buy another.
I would rather have a very good 720p image upscaled to 1080p than have a 1080p image at 20fps. Graphics wise the PS3 is the intermediate step between the Wii and the 360.
What SOFTWARE will help push the hardware? 360 is still cheaper and has more great games being released in a 3 month span (Bioshock, Halo3, Mass Effect) than any PS3 game.
Also don't count out the Madden effect. Since EA couldn't get the game working right on PS3 (30FPS!!!) the 360 looks even better. Price cut won't hurt the Wii at all either.
Internet gambling has not been banned in the United States.
I repeat, Internet gambling has not been banned in the United States.
It is illegal to transfer money to a gambling site. There is a fundamental difference. In this case, United States Citizens are in effect throwing away money to Foreign sources. I'm a conservative, so I'm against the Democratic socialist view of "tax everything", but in this case the US government should be seeing something back.
"There's nothing hypocritical about that at all, or did I fail to notice the part of his presentation where he said nobody should use electricity, or set a hard maximum limit to how much electricity a single building can ever use?"
Electricity doesn't come from the magical outlet fairy.
Build a dam: Destroys local ecosystem.
Burn Coal: Air pollution.
Burn Oil: Air pollution.
Burn Gas: Air pollution.
Nuclear: How do we dispose of the waste?
It is common sense, something most Gore supporters lack.
This man spends almost as much on electricity as the average American makes in a year. Al Gore receiving this award is a sign of how irrelivant it has become.
Microsoft and Sony sell their consoles at a loss, hoping you purchase 3-4 games to recover. For every person that buys a Sony just as a Blu-Ray player, you are royally screwing Sony.
..spin this. We don't know near enough about long-term changes in our climate to make any conclusions. If you hear any scientist declaring as a fact that it does or does not exist and we did or did not cause it, they are far from credible.
1) In this system, there is no way to affect your opponent's "reputation." The low-down dirtiest exploiter could join in and ruin any game. You can weed these people out in Xbox Live.
2) There is no reason to stay in a game if you are losing. In Xbox Live, you are counted down severely for leaving a game early (DNF). You can add filters in Xbox Live to only play players with low DNF %.
3) Little replay factor. Moving up in rankings gives players a completely new and fun way to play.
4) Competitiveness. You will find many players just goofing off since the game has no impact on anything. If you are a competitive player, it is no fun to play someone who isn't. The opposite is also true.
5) Fair play. In Xbox Live, you are matched up with people on a similar level as you. Trust me, Fight Night 3 online is terribly boring playing people who simply wipe the floor with you.
"I'm not sure if Halo 3 coming out will cause a huge spike in system buying though... Wouldn't Halo fans have already purchased the system, knowing the game would be coming?
I'm also quite amazed at how well the Xbox 360 is doing in terms of software. Personally I only own a few games for the system, as I mostly play Live Arcade games. I hope that more and more publishers take a look at those numbers, so we can continue to see more game choices on the 360."
Halo3 probably won't generate a huge spike, but it will be the most significant spike since the console's supply reached demand a few months after launch. This has been the most awaited game for the system along with GTA4.
Latest/. discussion has been focused entirely on hardware numbers. Lately it has been Wii > 360 > PS3.
One thing is for sure, in terms of software, the 360 is top dog. This system flat out moves games. With Halo3 coming out in a little over a week, expect the 360 to have record quarterly numbers.
Fanboys will carry Sony to a mediocre PS3 life. If this generation's trends continue, they won't be around for PS4. The poor first year of this console will hurt Sony much longer than some think.

Of course hydroelectric, solar, and wind power is not as harmful as burning oil.
I would be willing to bet most of the electric plants in the area of Al Gore's home aren't hydroelectric, solar, or wind based.

The 360 is doing pitifully in Japan likely due to not having a single clue how to market it there.
Or not marketing at all. On launch day there were reports of Japanese gamers seeing the 360 in stores and thinking it was just a white Xbox1.
.. I hope this guy gets the death penalty. Hope this doesn't affect the release date and I hope none of this information ever becomes public.
... for a bad PS3 christmas. GTA IV and UT3 were supposed to keep their sales numbers respectable.

This is a significant dissapointment.

Looks like a Millionare in Korea can barely afford a PS3.

Or just maybe video games are popular due to their escape from reality, and the escape is more interesting in a violet or sexual environment?
I don't think an "Office Space" game where you sit in a cube all day doing Y2K conversions would sell well.
Fanboys will carry Sony to a mediocre PS3 life. If this generation's trends continue, they won't be around for PS4. The poor first year of this console will hurt Sony much longer than some think.
Microsoft didn't issue a press release, one guy voiced his opinion.
The Xbox360 came out a full year earlier, and it is still selling 100k more units per month? That hurts. Also nice to see the Wii still going strong.
I bet no one out there regrets their Wii360 purchase instead of just a PS3.
