I dare anybody to do that once a month on the Windows machine.
I would stay away from Vista for a good while now while the hackers have a go at Vista's security. I'm not sure how good of an idea daring people to hack Windows is.
No because the OLPC project is "doing good". Unlike Microsoft and tobacco companies which are only trying to create a revenue stream for life, the life of the customer anyway.
So Microsoft is like the tobacco companies, going after children in order to gain a customer for life. An interesting strategy to be sure, but certainly not one of a "good" company in the terms of morally good and not in the good for making money sense.
When I purchased my $2000 HDTV on Thanksgiving weekend last year I did not even consider Sony when making my comparisions. I went with the Sharp Aquos.
I don't see myself leaving T-Mobile which I am perfectly happy with and switching to Cingular/AT&T. I have 5 lines on a family plan with T-Mobile. No one wants the freebie phones so the cost to switch is even greater than just the iPhone price which is a big obstacle already. And imagine if others on my plan wanted iPhones as well. Just not gonna happen.
Citing an encyclopedia was frowned upon back when I was in college. Wikipedia is like an encyclopedia but with an even worse feature, the information can change at any given time. I would not want to cite something and have a professor or his assistant look it up and see that it was different from what I wrote in the paper.
Ok, actually it really is, I can't believe I am stuck with this piece of shit for 18 more months. Go read DBSTalk for the glowing reviews of both the Directv and Dish HD DVRs.
No, ideally in that case you would pay 1.95, if the item came out to be 1.98 then you would pay 2.00. At the end of the day or month or year you should be even or close to it.
Just by figuring this out hasn't the DMCA now been violated and soon the people who made the discovery will be violated as well in federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison.
This is also a CYA move by MS I think in that they are bascially saying we have these partners and we have made deals with them to include our OS with their computers, however, those computers might come with preinstalled crapware that makes us look bad because once you run a lot of programs our OS bogs down and can't handle it because these machines also only come with 512MB of RAM and this new OS we created needs at least 1.5GB just to be stable.
No, in the technological world, there are not many surprises or secrets. If AMD annouced an 8 core processor tomorrow would you be shocked? Of course not it is the natural evolution of processor design. Phones that do it all have been around for a while now, so why is Apple jumping into the market such a surprise? And I wouldn't call the discussion of an iPhone prior to it's announcement "a couple of broad predictions" even business websites such as CNN/Money have been anticipating it's release. It was really only a matter of time and not a secret.
Well if we expected the new iPod to be touchscreen and we expected the new iPhone to be an iPod as well. Shouldn't the iPhone have been expected to be touchscreen? How many people have said time and again that this could possibly be a new Newton, which would naturally run a slimmed down OSX. The only real secret was when this would happen and even that wasn't so much of a secret as we all know Macworld is where new products get announced for the most part.
I just received an Xbox 360 for Christmas and have to wonder is it not already "iTV" it streams movies and music from a Windows PC, it has a movie store (albeit a very limited selection, but there are hi-def offerings), it has a TV show store (once again a small selection, better than the movie selection though as it has recent episodes, and once again available in hi-def, it plays DVD's and HD-DVD's if you want to spend a little extra, and of course it plays video games, heck my Directv remote even has a code to program it to control the Xbox.
You hear Howard or O and A because the Sirius and XM transmitters were made too powerful and were not within the guidelines of the FCC. They have since gotten in trouble and XM has gone so far as to announce they will remove FM transmitters from their car kits. Who could listen to that transmitted signal is another story however, I tried it with my SkyFi setup and couldn't stand the static and the station bleed. Living in NYC where almost every FM station is used makes it hard to find a clean channel anyway. Line out into the car stereo is the way to go and I believe more stock car radios are having an aux port as a standard feature now more for the iPod than Sat. Radio, but at least it is a standard port.
The Zune is taking aim directly at the iPod, what media player wouldn't be at this point, from it's design to it's music store that "plays for sure" with the Zune and nothing else.
The iPod is marketed towards everyone, not just the "self-absorbed cool kids". Walk down a New York street and you can see a good percentage of poeple of all demographics using their iPods.
Take any subway train and you can see schoolkids and couples sharing one iPod listening with one set of headphones each with 1 earphone. Seems pretty social to me.
Since I was out of mod points and couldn't mod you as the troll you are I responded instead.
What do the Euros know? The Cadillac is well the Cadillac of cars.

As if being bad foor the environment wasn't bad enough, everytime someone upgrades to Vista God kills a kitten.
Interesting, now about that price. If only I didn't buy that Xbox360 and HDTV for Christmas.

Oh come on the HR20 isn't THAT bad.

Maybe he just lost the link to that site. I hate when I loose things.
Comcast has an agreement with TiVo to provide software for their DVRs if the customer is willing to pay an extra 10 a month I believe it is.

Any word on a fix or lack of for XP, or has this already been patched in a previous update?

A true nerd would consummate his marriage while surfing on the internet and maybe writing some code while he was at it.

Everyone and their mother has been waiting for months, maybe even a year, for the official announcement of an iPhone. How exactly is this a secret?
WHy do I need a 3.5" bay when an external SATA drive will do just fine?
