  22. Great idea open source - if only it would work on Nessus Closes Source · · Score: 1

It is a great idea open source but it rarely works out. I am a software developer and what I see is that software developers are not always paid well. Yet the companies who use open source products can and do make hefty profits. So I would argue that what all developers should do is always charge hefty fees for whatever they code. Let's all unionise. Forget the squabbling between the wintel faction and the linux lovers. Let's join forces and screw big business. The work we do is complex, complicated and tiring. I am damned if I am going to do anything for free. From today we all charge 1000 USD per hour - non negotiable. This is a call to arms. Join me.

  23. Prius - economical Not so sure on When Hybrids Do (And Don't) Make Sense · · Score: 1

I live in Belgium and drive a Renault Twingo. It has a 1.2 litre engine. My fuel consumption is less than a Prius. A Prius would cost about 2 and a half times more. Sorry Toyota, I just am not convinced. Which reminds me, what is with that ad for the Prius I saw the other day. You would think they are selling a bicycle. A Prius still pollutes. What LA should do is shoot anyone who drives in to town.

  24. Google - Angels??? on Google's Patents Reveal Strategy To Beat Microsoft · · Score: 1

Well I use Google Adwords and I have to say I find Google to be masters of extortion. I used to be pro Google but after my experience using Adwords I have a completely different opinion. Anyway wasn't Netscape meant to kill Microsoft? So easy to write such an article but at the end of the days nobody knows. My money is on Microsoft though.
