I love strategy, sci-fi and a good story and I don't mind at all the dated graphics, but somehow I can't see what's so special about it to deserve such high ratings. IGN even called it the "best real time strategy game ever made"...

The electronics never get in contact with the water this way and it seems to give good results.

Always thought they'd be cool to ride in if they could make one big enough.

Actually, they already made a couple of those, mostly in 19th century. I found this excerpt to be very interesting:

"In 1867 at the American Institute exhibition in New York, Alfred Ely Beach demonstrated a 32.6 m long, 1.8 m diameter pipe that was capable of moving 12 passengers plus conductor. In 1869, the Beach Pneumatic Transit Company of New York constructed in secret a 95 m long, 2.7 m diameter pneumatic subway line under Broadway. The line only operated for a few months, closing after Beach was unsuccessful in getting permission to extend it. (Though widely believed to have been demolished to make way for the current subway system, some think the system may still exist buried beneath the city.

It is probably just a myth that the system may still exist, but if that possibility is real I wonder what else was forgotten down there. Is it time for archaeologists to investigate our own recent past :-)?

I can't remember any war/strategy game that made me think or feel this way when smashing enemies and getting ready for world domination... I agree that it might be one of the objectives of the game.

Just because you can see it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with it! Same with GPL projects, the code is in a public space, but when you use it into your own software you have to agree to a license.

However, MS is free to put any clause they want in their terms of use so, as long as it is clearly visible, no one who joins should complain if they see their snippets being used by them.

Exactly. In the same fashion, I'm totally free to take photos of strangers in a public space, even if they don't want me to, and do whatever I feel like doing with them, as long as the usage is permitted by law. If the person can't be recognized (no face showing, for instance), that includes virtually anything. Else, it would be needed a written agreement for certain uses, like commercial usage (advertisements, ...), but, still, the photos could be sold or published in magazines or newspapers.
