I use powerusenet and i only pay 15$ a month for unlimited transfer, damn good speeds (max my connection at 2.5MB/s (20Mbps)), and 200 day retention. I gave my referrer link, but could always just take off the referrer info on the end of the url.

on topic: Lars Ulrich - what a complete douchebag. Hes the one who started all this lawsuit business for pirates.. seriously, what a cockknocker.

I travel with 10-15 external usb drives, and no one says ANYTHING about them. also, because there is no chance of them being a weapon (And they go thru the xray machine), they cant legally confiscate them. Well, i mean, they could i suppose, but that would bring along a few lawsuits from my employer.. either way, they never mess with your usb drives.

You'd be amazed the amount of shaking a hard drive can take. In the van we use for work, we've got 8 120GB drives that are driven around in a rackmount with no shock absorption and the van is beat all to hell the way we drive. The hard drives are still working amazingly well.

And to chime in on the "why do you commute to work" thing, I'm currently 6 hours driving distance from home. The secret: I was sent out of town for work. all of my work is out of town. At one point, I was in Boca Raton, FL for almost a month. This time, I'm down in Lawrence, Kansas doing ABSOLUTELY nothing (and getting paid) until they send me off to Calgary, Canada. Also, I get paid for my 'commute' time, so its all OK.

Private roads are almost always owned by the city anyway, and the people who live on them whine until they get a private road sign.
Its the same with gated communities. your tax dollars pay to get their roads fixed, then they say you can't drive on them.

And what about the people who get harassed by the cops? Where do we get to post our problems? oh, you say they're fine people, so I cant say anything about them?

For instance, theres one cop in my town who doesnt like me even though the most illegal thing i do is speed, and not while hes on duty. He gives me a hard time for carrying a knife, on the edge of my pocket where you can see it, that is completely legal in my state (under 3.5" in blade length). He's threatened to file "trespassing" charges for a place that the people who own it don't want me charged with trespassing. This is the same town where I was doing nothing wrong, i was just out at 3am taking my girlfriend home, sober, and not swerving at all, and they decide to pull me over for *drumroll please* not having license plate lights! Why did he pull me over for that you ask? because he followed me for 2 miles and couldn't find anything else wrong. In our town/city/county, a cop can not follow you for more than 2 miles (if they're looking at you for reasons to pull you over).
