The article focuses on the moodview, which analyzes the tags that bloggers use. While this may lead to some interesting data manipulation procedures, I think that Mood Teller is more interesting, it actually scans the text, and makes a guess on the mood. Then it compares its guess to the actual data that was gathered using the blogger tags.
This will open some eyes. Even though this game probably will not be the next Great Game, it will hopefully help stop the idea that crucification was special for Christ.
I have the NVidia Quadro FX Go1400 in a Dell M70 Laptop, and I can run Windows Vista Beta fine. True, I only have a batter life of about an hour when I'm doing anything graphic-intensive, but it can still run all of the most recent games.
Is anybody else reminded of Charles Duell's quote? He was a patent officer in 1899:
"Everything that can be invented has been invented."
I have a feeling this quote will go down in the books as well!
I saw this video a few months back, and I have been drooling ever since. I rarely get this way about computer games, but I think I might actually legally buy this one!
A great 3D map of the universe is Celestia. Its set up similar to Google Earth in that you can fly around and search for different celestial objects. Its pretty cool.
Would it be possible to avoid ths entire dispute by having a button that had a programmed time delay of around 2 seconds? It would essentially be a "Buy it now" button, but it wouldn't be conflicting with other companies!
The users most susceptible to phishing are also the ones least likely to seek out and install an extension ("what's that?") to prevent it.
But also, the users most susceptible to phishing are also the ones that use internet explorer. People that know enough to use firefox are less likely to be phished. I like the idea of the phishing technology being a preinstalled extension, like the bug reporting one in 1.5
I know I learned a lot about electronics from taking apart old electronics. I'm sure there are many people out there that did the same. Will this come to an end in Japan?
Just because 75% of people at 2 year colleges lack literacy, doesn't mean that 75% of college students lack literacy. There is quite a difference between two-year colleges, which are usually much less vigorous, and normal colleges.
Because a computer can do billions of calculations a second, and it takes many many calculations to hack a computer. You are asking something akin to "If a computer can do billions of calculations a second, why can't it compile a program in a billionth of a second?"
Spybot S&D finds a lot of things that MS antispyware beta doesn't find, at least on the three computers i've tested. The objects are bona fide spyware programs, too, not just little tracking cookies.
"I am as constant as the Northern Star."
Hmm. Wasn't Caesar part of a triumvirate? And now the northern star is a triple star system... Seems to me this guy knew his astronomy!
When I read the article, it doesn't actually quote one of the scientists as saying 'colds cause childhood cancer.' It seems to me that the media has once again sensationalized this, and mixed up correlation and effect. Next up: When children cry, scrapes appear!
They'll have laptops now, but will laptops give them access to information? Third world countries don't have much in the way of internet access. There would have to be some offline database installed on all the laptops.
I'm trying to curb my impulses, but my favorite porn site is blocked!
So, Ebay is looking for allies, huh? They should Google for them.
