There could be 1 benefit to no patents. 1 program that incorporates massive amounts of features for the given topic whereas with patents, some features may not have been available. Another company could compete by making the same program with a better interface, faster processing, and additional features. I guess something likened to socialism, new inventions and ideas would be merged to create even better products, but brings a negative aspect as it risks the profits of companies therefore slows R&D.
considering i regularly have 50-100 tabs open, 100-500meg used by firefox, I can forsee the memory usage going up and up and i surely hope it doesn't eat up more and more cpu.
I have adhd, every link looks pretty and I must read read read click click click and within 20 minutes i have so many links open to read...
Set an assignment in how they must use English, Sciences, and Mathematics in a way to get laid. A quest of sorts, it would surely keep interest and creativity at a high.
It was probably done just to double check that they were safe and not going to do anything harmful. It is possible they COULD have had explosives etc, a few arrests and checking around is better than the ultra slim but still real chance that the headlines tomorrow could have read Comedy act suicide bombs, or whatever.
And hell, it tests out 170 million dollars worth of security.
Speaking of stereotypes, if the typical geeky guy is socially inept. I don't understand why the females don't help teach the guys a thing or two to raise their social behaviour. I'm quite sure half the time the guys may think they're acting ok and funny but do not realize how bad it can be.
Could also be she's spending more time in classes socializing or doing other activities vs. learning. Fall too far behind and it can be quite a problem to keep up.
I view it as memory of phone numbers, etc is less crucial as understanding and memorizing the basics to gain the knowledge needed for everyday tasks such as knowing the fastest way to write down data and the best ways to recall it in a fast, efficient manner. We don't usually need to remember 30 phone numbers etc when we can easily carry a device which will store thousands. It gives us room to remember other things, such as more hobbies etc.
The pain and trauma of events in life also build character and strength. Would this mean we would become weaker and more dependant on pills/etc to make life easier?
It would certainly lower the creative power of many artists etc.
Cept if you're on an American server in an American based build as an Aussie that swears like a sailor:D
The cultural divide between the two countries would regularly result in some big hissy fit as some of the yanks never could understand Aussie humor and would complain to the poor GM.
I listened to the new Manson album, Can say it was quite a boring experience when I enjoyed the previous. I think people are more bothered by filler tracks.
What happens though when someone pirates quite a few thousand dollars worth of IP and doesn't have the cash to purchase it.
The crack fixes would have made quite a few people just say F it and buy it, and many more just giveup.
The part you say about the "I wouldn't have bought it" but I watched it I can understand where you're coming from but if you did pirate quite alot, could you really afford to buy it?
Many want the convenience of not needing to drive to store, find movie, rent, come home, mess with scratchs when they can just download it and watch it once, delete or burn n store it away. And hey you can save yourself quite alot of money pirating.
These are some justifications for people, just to throw them out there.
And I really dislike the fact he's saying hundreds of billions of dollars are lost, when property crime is 16 billion. Property is usually not able to be copied, it's loss means someone actually loses an item/money, and not POTENTIAL money. People don't have the funds to pay for each copy that is pirated, it's a waste of time using such a huge number as if it was real.
You know when I was at school, the cool kids sat at the back of the bus. Everyone fought to be there. Nice wide seat, See everyone infront of you. Look out the back and wave to drivers etc.

This is the RIAA. We have a court order for you to give up her full name, address, etc.
On a more serious note...that was the cool thing about lan's back in the day, apart from the leechers lagging the current game played.
Here in Australia, as I waltz by HMV, etc. The price for cd's averages between 25-40 for new cd's, 10-15 for older ones.
That requires a female on slashdot to post said question.
In this context the word "Gay" doesn't mean a homosexual thing, rather an annoying, etc thing.
I want something like this for camera sensors, would have maybe saved my old Canon Powershot in the Australian heat + Car.
Bring on Teknoman! and Rurouni Kenshin (Oav's only, not the kiddy tv show). I would love to see those 2 made live action.
