Accept for bells and whistles, how is this different from Ajaxterm.

I like all the eye candy and features and no doubt they are an improvement over what ajaxterm offers, however, ajaxterm is already a plugin free html based ssh terminal. Put it behind a apache https reverse proxy and block the real ajaxterm port from internet access and you get a pretty good pure html/ajax ssh shell.

  9. Second that on Ask Slashdot: Does Being 'Loyal' Pay As a Developer? · · Score: 2

On my first job out of university, I was loyal, stuck to a single company for about 4 years, at which point their product was purchased by another company and the dev team dropped like a hot potato.

Few years down, I couldn't come to work on a weekend (after working 3 straight previous weekends without overtime pay), I was let go the following Thursday after I pissed off my boss after being threatened "I may not be fit for the organization", I'm glad I did, cause I wasn't.

I started contracting and haven't looked back, get more pay, get paid for overtime and believe it or not, respected more and viewed as someone who has authority in my field, though I am the same person.

Playing "gods" advocate. If I had to choose someone who would do anything come hell or high water, this would be a perfect test, further knowing that I (I as in god) won't let any harm come to the child, its a perfect test.

Further analysis on the "moral" aspect of it and speaking from a "believers" perspective, death is not really death, its just a passage to another dimension, so if you truly believe that, then it is not immoral. I mean, how is it immoral to send someone to a better place.

So yes, today if you don't believe in religion or life after death, it is perfectly immoral, however if you do, then it is not so much.

And again, just throwing this out, I am not about to go kill my kids.

Speaking of TV-esque , it would be interesting if games come up with weekly episodes. Leave the game at a cliff hanger, to be continued next week. With all the PSN and xbox live, this should be possible. Each week you come in, download the next episode, play. They can even charge per episode. Alternately, adverts can be put into the game strategically to keep it free.
