I know a few in that last category. Our household just barely falls into the lower middle class category, but because we're careful we're on track to retire at the age of 55 (comfortably). Save your money people, live cheaply. You'll be very thankful for it later.
This is just another sad example of the American tendency to live beyond one's means. This is another symptom of the disease that is eating this country: financial illiteracy.
So, the cueCat was in a box (the patent office) and its state was unknown for years until someone finally opened the box and looked at it? I can only assume the cueCat was dead, but that assumption probably changed the outcome.
So how do we archive all of the fantastic hardware that the likes of Sega and Atari produced? What about pinball games and crane sandboxes? What about the machines that would cast a souvenir for you out of plastic on the spot? There is a lot of gaming history that is sadly endangered.
Can jeans make a woman's ass look bigger? Maybe, but there's probably some junk in the trunk to begin with. This comparison seems to work here:
You think that modding you down doesn't make you wrong. You're right, modding you down doesn't make you wrong; being wrong makes you wrong. It makes the mods right.
Frequency hopping and other tricks make simple jammers that cover any significant area very difficult to implement. Basically you either need heavy broadband noise in the microwave spectrum or an active malignant participant in the protocol.
If this is the kind of havoc you want to create, just go dent some waveguides on some cell towers.

No, his intentions were to cause problems for the McCain/Palin campaign in the form of an epic trolling. This kid stopped when he realized that the 4chan party van would be at his door within hours.
He messed up, plain and simple. Now the media is going to have a feeding frenzy because they FINALLY have something to try to stick on Governor Palin. If this had been Joe Biden doing this we would have never heard about it. In fact, reporters would be calling for the head of this 4channer on a pike while simultaneously scrambling to demonstrate that the e-mails were harmless/irrelevant/nonexistent.
Hmmm, an AC railing against a member of an organization that (s)he has NO FUCKING CLUE about the inner workings of. I know I'm feeding the troll here, but please keep your idiocy and ad hominems to yourself.
The only thing sadder is that this garbage got modded up as insightful, which while I hope indicates sockpuppets, probably means that the cancer is spreading.
So I assume your improved (and smaller) version will be posted on Slashdot sometime later this afternoon? Be sure you build it entirely of discreet transistors and program it in machine code.
This is a silly question, but have you tried the linux binary compatibility layer? I haven't, but I've been meaning to try since it appears that a native port is a ways off.

Let's look at this logically... Since the year is clearly indicated, that leaves us with the month and day. Since the ninth month has not yet occurred in 2008, we can safely assume the 9 indicates the 9th day of the month. This leave only the month. A cursory glance at the calendar tells us that June is the only month this year where the 9th falls on a Monday. So, having been through all of that, we can conclude that the author clearly meant Monday, June 9, 2008. Simple! I can't possibly understand why here would be any confusion, as this method of date indication provides 100% clarity to anyone willing to spend the time to interpret it!

Agreed, Gottlieb pinballs are utter crap anyway. Any advances they made on their technical platform were completely nullified by terrible gameplay, awful visuals, and the same jerkoff doing the voices for EVERY FREAKING GAME. Waterworld? *shudder* Shaq Attaq? *vomit*
The AC poster should have been a clue that you were being trolled. Please don't feed the trolls.

Deep web is information buried under layers that are not easily penetrable by current indexing tech.
Dark web can either be physically separate from the internet or a virtual network that is hidden through encryption, secrecy, or both.

Agreed. Incentives to encourage the desired behavior are much better than punishments based on the assumption that all of your customers are hostile.
