I'm so sick of this argument. There is no valid alternative where a lot of people live. Where I live we are too far away for DSL. Satellite is *not* an option and FIOS isn't even a gleam in someone's eye. As for TV I don't watch TV anymore so that doesn't affect me.
I thought the copyright was on the layout of the law and the specific id's in the law books and not the actual law. Wasn't this recently decided on too? (in another state or city)
What about the machines that validate the paper votes? (I claim to know nothing about this) But are those computer systems or mechanical systems? If they're computer systems what's to prevent people from hacking them, lack of access?
I agree with someone else in an earlier thread. If politicians can manipulate the districts so that they get the most votes for their party then the people should be able to manipulate the votes by making districts invalid.
You're already required to pay sales taxes (in most states) for out of state purchases you make over the internet anyway (Most states). It's called a use tax.
With regards to this virtual goods tax. You're already required to pay taxes on income gained from the sale of products it's up to you to report it accurately to the government (as with the use tax) but most people don't. That is why they're even considering this.
Got to squeeze every last person while giving tax breaks to every large corporation.
Why not just push it all towards the sun? It'd take a bit to get there but would burn up long before it got close. Like a big fishnet capture them and fire it off...instantly vaporized
It does charge more to deliver legitimate mail (in general) since USPS spammers usually pay a bulk rate while you're stuck paying 41 cents a letter (I think that's how much it is now)
...could you somehow have a lens with multiple focus points? I'm thinking if you have 4 people in a picture you could focus on each of their faces with one lens and have a nice picture with everyone in focus rather than someone in the background a bit blurry.
Most of the games available for the PS3 created in this fashion would just be some crap look-what-i-can-do games and will overshadow the true gems that will appear on the system.
There's a great monopoly card game out. It says the game takes about 60 minutes but we usually get one done in 15 minutes...the game is very similar to rummy or gin rummy (whatever it's called). It's flat out called "Monopoly: The Card Game"

That crucial step was to reverse the image...since a photocopy is reversed...wow...big secret :)

Or maybe Parker Brothers is a subsidiary of Hasbro?

...doesn't fit. When I see that I don't see KITT and that should be what I see immediately. Looks pretty ugly...
If someone has access to a physical port then your security isn't worth a damn anyway.
Except that if someone steals from you you've lost something, you might not always get Bruno
That sure would teach you to lock your doors in a hurry.
Well, if we take him serious then we might have to take hubbard serious.

Except people will just take that holiday off and not vote.

Only in the case of criminal cases not civil
It's probably only legal for the Government do photograph you in public
