It may be EA, but it is also Maxis, wich is cool. Btw, Maxis are the cool guys who did things like sim city, not pump out lame shooter after lame shooter.
Where is the information you made that summary from? He wrote "we would like her to return any confiscated CDs" or words to that effect. I didn't find that that actually happened.
But here is an intresting link, that i'm sure people who looked google video know of:
Here is a kid who plays the X-box
I know he is only one person, and lots of other people on the x-box are more normalish.
Ever see, on the simpsons, were Nelson hooks the anus of bart's digestive system project to it's mouth. Then Nelson proclames he has solved word hunger.
I do not think it is the governments job to tell these guys that they can't have a two tiered internet. I think that they should be making sure that other ISPs are able to compete! In many parts, people can only choose between one or maybe two ISPs. If people could choose, they would dump those that won't provide them with a decent speed from their favorite search engine or whatnot, and give their personal information to the government.
Can't you just go with a different ISP then send a polite letter back to the person who was messing with you connection why you left. If it isn't possible to get a different one, then I think that this may be a serious problem. I wonder if I could start my own ISP...
I do not think that removing a website from google is a god idea. It goes directly against their goal of organizing the worlds information. Many people depend on google to get information, this denies them some of that(very little now, but many websites use SEO). A better move would have been to lower the page-rank of the websites that linked to it, and to decrease the score that the BMW website has, a lot.
I have been happy with the way Google has ignored interfering with the algorithms that they use to organize the information on the internet. I considered them to be unbiased, that way the results are what I want to see instead of what google wants me to see. Google has seemed very commited to not tampering with things like this. Gearge Bush's biography is the top result for miserable and failure, and an anti-Semetic website is the top result for the word Jew. They've refused to change either of those results. I have felt safe because the 800-pound gorrila that google is has not been throwing it's weight around.
Off-topic:
According to Bill Gates, google is working on a hamburger making robot. I love hamburgers, but am to lazy to make them.
Also, google employees read Google-slashdot, but I have yet to see them post.
I don't see why google wants to create a whole new distro, why can't they just work on software that will make all distros better. Before you start talking about Google having it's fingers in too many pie, I think it should be noted that they are carefull to maintain a certain amount of their time to their main business, a different amount to spin-offs, and the other 20% to whatever a developer feels like. This is one of the ways google stays great. Considering how in Gnome(Ubuntu's Gui) everything starts with G, I wonder if they will call everything Goo-. I wonder if they will make their own Goo-ey.
Btw, I heard that they are also working on a robot that makes hamburgers.
Just thought I should let you know, Sony supports modding the PS2, they have even offered a kit for it. I think that their PS3 may come with it already installed. I guess this sorda takes the fun out of it.
Putting you code into Public Domain would be the most open way to release your source code. The reason people like Stallman want people to release code under the GPL is so people who want to base their own code on it will have to license their code under a similar license. If they didn't do this many companies would use the source without contribuing back to the comunnity. I've heard that Stallman is also very uncompromising.
I usually check the discusion of a wikipedia article to check if it biased. Usually there is a group of editors dedicated to the subject who pay a lot of attention to the article, along with vandals and stray people who just felt like adding some of their knowledge. Pretty interesting to have people with opposing views edit an article. I am not saying they are all like this, just the good ones. When they disagree enough a flag will go up. When there isn't an opposing view there is a problem, no one would question what goes in.
Something interesting, the wikipedia article on google is way more critical of google than the microsoft article is of microsoft.
Oops, read the other link, seems they aren't releasing as much as I was lead to believe by the first one and the description. Mod parent overrated, please. Actually, after reading the first one again, I am unsure what, exactly, is going on.
There are many programs designed to be run on Windows. Developers usually only design for this operating system because it is on such a huge percentage of desktops. These programs cannot run on linux, so people have been working on emulators and/or compatability layors to get them to run on linux. Wine is a program that is used by people to run programs on linux, but is not perfect. With the Windows source code, they should be able to get programs to run much better.
There is also a problem with getting peripherals running under linux. You need drivers to get them working on your OS, but usually the company that made the device will only release drivers for it on windows. There are programs like NdisWrapper for getting certain devices to run on linux, that could also profit from having the windows source code.
These have been the main stinky points for Linux.
ReactOS is an operating designed to be fully compatable with windows drivers and programs. They are currently at version 0.2.9.
On the down side, the lack of crackers having the source code to windows means that it is difficult for them to find vulnerabilities. Even with the code secret, Windows has had a lot of problems with security. It has also developed in an enviroment were the only real security vulnerabilities would be ones that can be found without the source code. The type of people who would be interested in getting through windows's security won't mind downloading the source from some warez site. I hope that it isn't leaked to these kinds of people. Fortunatly, they probably won't release the source code of IE(wich is supposedly part of windows)
Another bad thing is you will most likely be hearing a lot of people making comments about how poorly windows is written.
Heres the googled links:
Talking Dogs and talking cats
Lol, the thing is that she probably does work twice as efficiently because she doesn't visit slashdot enough to consider making an account.
Glad to see i'm not the only one who still plays that game!
It may be EA, but it is also Maxis, wich is cool. Btw, Maxis are the cool guys who did things like sim city, not pump out lame shooter after lame shooter.
MOD PARENT UP!

Sounds like some government pipe-dream to me.

Sorda wierd, I think the Mark of the Beast can be 666 or 616. Go figure. Something I'll think about at 6:16.
It seems the Atlantic Ocean has consumed Africa!!!
Seems the article has been in limbo for a while.

ow!
Um, sorry but you are not ahead of the curve by sewing Google into your underwear, they already sell them.

It should now be: GNU = "GNU NUG UGN", where NUG stands for "NUG UGN GNU", and UGN stands for "UGN GNU NUG".
Here is the talkpage of the article.

It's better that the Chinese citizens have some access to the best search engine on the web, instead of none at all
because I don't know how I can mod it up... being a noob and all
